Lovely place for traditional local food. Friendly hosts. Seems to be patronized by the local gringos. Pet friendly. Live music at 6 pm, but call to confirm. I enjoyed my beef tacos. My neighbors enjoyed their enchilada & Shrimp stuffed Avocado which I will try when I return. While waiting for food, there were homemade tortilla chips with a picante salsa! My neighbor says they are the best chips around! Will definitely return! A lovely meal of just 195 pesos…of course, I did not order any drinks and paid cash as my order was under 200 with bottled water.

This is a small family restaurant. It is difficult to locate from the Google maps directions, see my attached photo of the entrance from the street. There is no street signage. We almost left before finding the parking lot entrance.
We ate lunch and the food is good, but not excellent. The prices are typical with most meal choices being around MXN$150-250. The restaurant has a nice patio vibe and the staff & servers are friendly & attentive.

An Unforgettable Evening in the Rain, sometimes there’s restaurants that I don’t write about because I don’t want them to become too crowded.
Dining at this open-air gem was an absolute treat! As we settled in, a gentle rain began to fall, accompanied by the soft rumble of distant thunder. Instead of spoiling the evening, it only enhanced the cozy, magical atmosphere. We felt like we were in a romantic movie scene, surrounded by nature, with the rain adding a touch of elegance.
The food was just as delightful as the ambiance. My chicken fajitas were full of flavor, perfectly seasoned with a delightful balance of spice. Every bite was delicious! My wife’s BLT was equally impressive—crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and perfectly toasted bread made for a satisfying and memorable sandwich.
Despite the rain, our evening was nothing short of perfect. This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a whole experience, on certain nights they even have live music.
We’ll be back for sure, rain or shine!

I was craving Tex-Mex style enchiladas and discovered Don Lupe Grill has exactly what I was in need of. I had two cheese and one beef enchilada with rice and beans. Just perfect. Brought me back home. It’s a lovely spot and can’t wait to return.

The owners are very attentive and good singers. If you like Tex Mex, karaoke and good margaritas, this place is for you. My favorite dish was the green enchiladas. Their garden is beautiful and they are pet friendly.

Karaoke from 6pm-10pm on Saturday nights is lots of fun! Various musical entertainers on other days, and 2-for-1 burgers on Wednesdays (including vegetarian options).
Open everyday for lunch and dinner.
I especially love their toasted BLT sandwich and Coconut Shrimp!

Don Lupe has changed locations it is now next to Burrito Cafe
Pros: The chimichanga plate was unreal, would definitely recommend. Wait staff were very friendly and spoke English and Spanish.
Cons: The chilli enchiladas Tex were terribly bland, they tasted like the ones we had from Oxxo last week. Would not recommend.

We went there for a 4th of July event with a set buffet menu. The burgers, hot dogs and ribs along with all the sides were very tasty. Excellent job. Only thing I’d recommend doing different is the ribs should of been in a heated pan like the burgers and dogs and all-beef hot dogs instead of the bird dogs. The atmosphere was pleasant and tastfully decorated for the celebration. The service was fast and friendly. They had a live band that was playing plenty of good music. Unfortunately, the vocalist ruined it though, very bad singer in our opinion.
