Don Lucho is the real deal. Awesome tacos, about twice the size of normal MKE tacos. I ordered four tacos, two would have filled me up. They are only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday early morning until they sell out of meat. The carnitas were amazing, the carne asada was great. The tortillas are fresh and the salsas were great. They sell meat by the pound like a deli and tacos like a normal restaurant. We went at 11am and they sold out right after we got our food. Go early.

We are in love with this authentic food. Go early (like 8am), get a little of each meat, and they will bring you hot and tasty tortilla shells. Don’t forget the side of rice and beans, and treat yourself to a Horchata. Eight of us enjoyed the feast pictured and it cost about $10 each! Lovely staff and delicious food!

Don Lucho is an amazing breakfast place or late dinner for after partying all night. It opens at 4:00am and it gets sold out kind of early too. So try to plan ahead!

Went here for breakfast… The best tacos (carnitas) I’ve had! Loved the fresh tortillas! They were a good size and very filling. Had two and they were perfect. I also loved the outdoor seating space, and there was some music playing for an event which made it even more lively. Staff is very polite and friendly too. I’ll definitely be back!

Really good carnitas we get to go, we don’t dine in here although there are plenty of tables which have decent space to sit comfortably. The place is very clean. Very small menu options, and you seat yourself. It’s not the type of restaurant experience I care for, it’s a bustling place. Be prepared to tip your waitress, doorman, lot attendant, and the local performers that happen in from time to time.

Always a pleasure coming here. I come around 5am when I go. Food is always great with soft carnitas and house made chorizo which is also so tender. House made tortillas too for a great time. Well worth the visit and standing in line.

They ran out of the normal size taco shells. Gave us the smaller size taco. Still charged about the same price after they told us what the new price would be. After questioning the price, she reduced the price by pennies. What a ripoff.

The home made chips are worth the trip alone. The food was very fresh and the porions were generous. The service was very friendly and efficient. We look forward to coming back.

Have been wanting to stop by for a couple of years, and finally made it out this morning. Wish I would have come a lot sooner. We ordered a half of pound of carnitas and chorizo to share with rice and beans. Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. We could even see them making our tortillas in the back from where we were sitting. Service was prompt and friendly, and prices cannot be beat. Will definitely be back soon, and if you’ve thought about coming but haven’t made it in quite yet, just go!
