The all time best! Friendly staff. Local family owned small business. They know their customers and have amazing food. The margaritas are amazing! I would rate 1000 stars if allowed. Restaurant is clean, bathrooms are clean. There is a small bar and a couple of TVs to catch a game. This is the place to go for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Don Julio’s is my family’s go-to for Mexican food. Lupe is the best! And all of his people are friendly & make sure you’re taken care of. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(P.S. if you haven’t had their spicy margarita, you NEED to!)

I have eaten here many times but I have to say, this time around for lunch, was very disappointing.
We had a large group order for an office so I understand that hitting them with that as soon as they opened at 11am probably did not help anything. However, I ordered the Nacho Supreme and it was REALLY dry. This should have been served with the melted cheese dip as their description states, but was served with shredded cheese. The chicken was overcooked as well. Another person in the group ordered the Pollo Con Arroz and there was minimal cheese on it and it was too, dry.(I would like to say that the dryness was due to the time of cooking to the time of delivery and maybe it having to sit for a while…..but we were there to pick it up with time to spare as it was still being cooked). Everyone else had no complaints on their dishes.
But leading up to the worst of it all, I ordered the Cheesecake Xango. It was served with a small cup of Melted Chocolate and a Maple Syrup. The Maple syrup had three little nats inside.
Im sad to post this because I have truly had great experiences here, but when dropping $100 on a group lunch, I just expected a little better….and no bugs.

The food was absolutely perfect, with excellent flavor and just the right portion sizes—I left feeling very satisfied. Our waiter was amazing; I felt like I was with family. The atmosphere was comfortable and not overwhelming at all.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this place deserves one! My mom and I stopped in on a whim, just wanting to grab a quick bite to eat after a doctor appointment. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant was very clean, bright, and cheery. The food was some of the best I’ve had, and the tomatillo sauce was especially *amazing*! We will definitely be back.

We were here for lunch and really enjoyed it. They have done a great job with the decor even though it is small. There was only one server and he was also the cashier, but he was very friendly and efficient. Our food came out in what seemed like five minutes and was hot and fresh with HUGE portions! Everything was seasoned well and the chips and salsa seemed to be homemade. We will be back to try something else, and also a margarita from the long list of varieties!

The food here is superior to anything else in the area!! The service is solid and the wait time for your food or drinks is nonexistent! Definitely try this out if you’re in the area

Flavors where an amazing blend of awesomeness but the tacos were so much only an appetizer sized entrée that I was shocked they could give so little for such a full size price. I liked the food, service and atmosphere very much but if I spend dinner prices and walk away feeling like I just had a “snack” only and still have to eat again because I wasn’t satisfied, this turns into an exorbidantly priced evening because you have to go and eat after you’re done eating. Kind of defeats the purpose. Need to satisfy hunger better. My husband was very upset with that. I want to give it another try but he doesn’t.

If you’re anywhere near Troy, Missouri, you have to stop by Don Julio’s! These are hands-down some of the best street tacos I’ve ever had; packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with fresh toppings. Every bite is next-level delicious!
What really sets this place apart, though, isn’t just the food (though that alone is worth the trip) — it’s the heart behind the business. The owner is a proud veteran who served our country, and you can feel that same dedication and pride reflected in everything here, from the service to the presentation.
The tacos are a 10/10. The atmosphere is chill, the sauces are spot on, and the lime wedge presentation? Chef’s kiss. I’ll definitely be back and you should too!

The authenticity really makes Don Julio’s stand out from the other mexican restaurants in town. Food is fantastic and the owner is super kind. I look forward to seeing their growth as they settle in!
