Stopped in for dinner to keep me from cooking after a long day at work and it was fantastic. I ordered the molcajete and it was so much larger than I expected, I bet it could feed three people easy. Such good portions for decent prices. The wait staff was attentive and was very friendly. I will be stopping back in before I leave for my trip home. I highly recommend anyone with a craving for some good authentic Mexican food to give this place a shot.

I have eaten at Don Julio‘s Mexican restaurant several times at the Pine City location. I have also eaten multiple times at the North Branch location. Today I ordered the burrito Verde, which I have ordered before and have always enjoyed. The Pine city location makes them the best. Lots of Carnitas and a very filling meal for the price. I recommend Don Julio‘s restaurant as a delicious and rather authentic option.

We had been camping for a couple weeks and just arrived to a nearby cabin for a few days. We ran to town for some groceries and just didn’t want to cook. We saw this place and thought we’d stop in. So glad we did!
As someone that doesn’t eat meat, I was happy to see a section for vegetarians and I didn’t have to order something “without meat”. I ordered veggie fajitas. My son said his enchiladas were like his favorite back home and the other ordered a shrimp dish. He had a hard time figuring out how to eat it, LOL, and I’m no help, but he said it was delicious.
The servings were very generous and I had another meal out of mine to heat up at home later.
I had ordered a “cadillac” margarita with no salt and got a big margarita with salt. The server brought it back and another one was re-made for me. It may have been the owner behind the bar, not sure, but I was appreciative that they made a new drink and didn’t pour it out over the salt into a new glass. I never understand why bartenders think that’s ok if you don’t want salt. He then delivered it to me personally. I’m not sure there was any grand marnier in it, but it was delicious and appreciate the service!
I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area. They seem to know the regulars, treated us out of towners kindly, and it’s very clean! Great food and portions too!

The staff was great! The food came out hot and fairly quickly, and came out actually looking exactly how it was pictured in the menu! Francisco (our server) was well versed in the menu and was able to help several of us decide what we really wanted to have. Thank you very much for the amazing food and awesome hospitality!

I visited the six Don Julio restaurants and all are amazing They offer the best service, the best Mexican food, the best atmosphere and the best prices. I’m amazed by the consistency of these restaurants. Something that I haven’t seen in any other Mexican chain. Recommended.

I’m new to the area, and as a Texan I know good Mexican food is a lifeline. Don Julio’s has been keeping me fed through DoorDash since I arrived, and today I finally got to experience the restaurant in person. It was everything I hoped for and more! the food is incredible, the hospitality is genuine, and it feels like a little piece of home. Our Mexican community deserves all the support and love we can give, especially now, and I’m grateful to have a place like this to gather and celebrate their culture. I can’t wait to spend many winter evenings at the bar, forgetting the cold outside.

If you’re on your way up north, nothing tastes better. Don’t bother with some Tobies eggs out of a carton come here for some real authenticity! The folks working are extremely nice too. And beer on tap
