Great local, casual spot for tacos, enchiladas etc. with a retro 60’s look. You order up front and find a spot inside to eat. A mixture of counter seating and booths. There is some good seating on the outside of the restaurant as well. I had the Taco Plate. Two crispy beef tacos with refried beans and chips with guacamole sauce. It was very satisfying. Looking forward to going back for the enchiladas.

Small place, but good food! My husband really liked it, and the flavor was really good for the prices. Weekday specials!!
The churro was reeeaaally long (went past my forearm), but it did have a lot more cinnamon and sugar on it than I would like (I know that’s personal preference). The frito pie that my husband got was a small, and it was still big!

The wife grew up in Grand Prarie and has told me about this place for years. So we had to stop in during a trip to GP. The place is small, but has adequate parking. Service was fast, and the food was pretty good. The only negative was that the dining area gets blasted by the afternoon sun. The Frito Pie, which I always laughed at, was delicious. Next time I’m in GP, I’ll stop in for more of that romantic food!

My wife and I enjoy Mexican food, but this place just didn’t make us want to come back. The chips were a little stale. The all-meat burrito plate, was literally taco meat burrito with one piece of chicken fajita in it and a bag of chips. I was kinda disappointed. My wife got the five enchilada plate which wasn’t bad. The good news; it was cheap and we got full.

Just a classic taco joint in the heart of Grand Prairie. The daily specials are a bargain, especially on Thursday. 5 white people tacos for under $5? Yes, please! Add to that the spicy salsa bar, fair waring the salsa there has a bite. Table salsa does not. There’s even a volcano out front that you can use at your own risk! I’ve never used it, but tell me if you do. Did you sacrifice a virgin? Win a middle school science fair? I can’t wait to find out. If it’s nice out, sit under the metal umbrellas out front, there’s a cool echo when you learn in to talk! The Grand Prairie Historical Commision has even designated this place as a “Significant Landmark.” If you come here, be sure to tell them I sent you. It won’t get you anything, but it will be fun to have an inside joke between the two of us.

Always clean, always fresh and delicious, staff is always friendly. Don Juan’s is a favorite spot for my dad and I to have a tasty lunch that is filling but never greasy or too heavy. It is very apparent that lots of love goes into the care of this restaurant. Stop by and enjoy some of the best tex mex in the DFW area!

I’m rating 5 stars solely because of their Thursday taco special! Our office gets it every week.

I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, so I can’t say if other items are good.

It’s been around for a long time, so that speaks to how the folks in GP feel about the place!

EDIT: I took this photo of the outside around noon. Tons of cars! Great to see everyone supporting local!
