Ww stopped in on a random Tuesday night. We were immediately seated and had our drinks as well as chips and salsa within minutes. Our waitress was kind and we received our food quickly. I tried to take pictures before everyone started eating LOL but wasn’t successful. The food was delicious and the margarita flight was 10/10!! Our baby even had a few bites of beans. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through.

While traveling through Kansas on business we stopped at Don Juan’s for lunch. It was satisfying and nothing really impressed me.

We were a group of five and were seated immediately. Service was good, drink order taken and delivered in a timely manner.

Chips & salsa delivered to the table. I must admit I do like the small bottles of salsa delivered to the table. I did not care for the chips, too thin and broke easily.

Two in the group order Fajita’s – totally not impressed. They arrived in the typical skillet but obviously they were not sizzling as if they were just cooked rather they came out like they were warmed up.

Another in the group requested extra cheese sauce and when the bill arrived I noticed that there was a $4.99 charge for the sauce. Seeing how it arrived in such a small dish I was rather surprised. Not that it mattered but it would have been nice to be aware of the up-charge!

Over all it satisfied the lunch urge but to me it was all mediocre.

One of the two best restaurants in Baxter Springs. They feed you more than enough food to have leftovers. And food is so good. Friendly service is good too. Atmosphere is cheerful, comfortable, clean and easy to have conversation with friends and family.

The service was fine. Food was better in the past. Lemonade was heavily watered down. Queso was more like gnocchi soup broth & the salsa has been replaced with watery ketchup. Once I would recommend this place. But after this evening….I don’t think I’ll do that anymore.

This place is really cool. I do not like Mexican food, but my sons do. We tried this place and I was so pleased. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, the food was excellent and beautifully plated.

We will definitely be back!

Excellent food…and especially beans & queso!

Went with friends. Had a wonderful time. The service was good. No issues with food.

Wish the queso was a bigger portion—but don’t we all??

FIVE STAR

We ate here after church! Food is excellent and service was overall fast and good.

I’d recommend the queso and the tacos.

Take your family here! Probably the best family restaurant in the area.

Stopped in for dinner and ordered ala cart. The place was very clean, fair prices, and good service. The food was decent with ok portions, but just a bit bland. But since Baxter Springs has a rather large retirement demographics, this might be necessary for the locals. Anyway, overall not a bad place to grab a meal.

Coming from France to do Route 66, we were able to try the Don Juan restaurant. And we were not disappointed! When it’s not good, you have to say it, but when it’s good, you have to say it too. The fresh guacamole was delicious, as were the quesadillas. And the portions are more than generous. The service was great, the server very kind, with whom we were able to chat. And on top of that, the food is quite affordable ($20/person for a dish, drink, and guacamole). If we come back to the area one day, we will definitely come back.
