I am a pure vegetarian.
This is a nice place and they have a small vegetarian section too. We tried their vegetarian fajita which was good. Veggies were fresh and they added broccoli too. They have a lunch menu 1-3 pm which is pretty reasonable. Their prices are pretty good and the quality and quantity is good too.

We heard about this Mexican restaurant in a YouTube video about awesome places in Hot Springs. When you look it up on Google, it doesn’t even show up as one of the top places to go. And I know there’s a LOT of competition. But we went anyway. This restaurant is in a strip mall next to a neighborhood Walmart, but don’t let that stop you. First, it’s awesome inside. We made a reservation but wouldn’t have needed it. The chips and salsa were amazing as was the queso. We had veggie fajitas and the Susana special. One jumbo Mangonada Margarita and, of course, a large (and they do mean large) Modelo. We ate pretty much all of it and knew it would be a place we would go again. All the stars, it’s worth the stop.

We came to Hot Springs for a birthday trip and the birthday boy loves Mexican food and when we googled the options Don Juan had a good rating. Everyone said the salsa was amazing and they were right!!! We had endless salsa and chips, a small queso (very yum!), the Fajitas Susana and Vegetarian Fajitas. We also had a large Modelo (and they do mean large!!) and a Mangonada Margarita. All of this with a generous tip was about $80. We had made a reservation but it wouldn’t have been necessary on a Thursday evening. Highly recommend.

First, the chips and salsa were so fresh. The salsa had a tiny bit of spiciness, but is not “spicy.” I easily could have drank a whole bowl. (The booths need reupholstered.) If you have never ordered a sandwich at a mexican restaurant this is the place to try one. Torta Mexicana with carnitas .. omg, smoky pork, avocado, pico de gallo, and jalapenos on a giant,soft, toasted bun. The vege nachos are great because of the fresh guac and pico de gallo mixed with peppers, mushrooms, beans and cheese. This place has won awards and it is no wonder why.

An awesome restaurant for plant based, gluten free, and vegan options. Just ask for veggie fajitas with corn tortillas, no sour cream, & no cheese. More variety of veggies given than other Mexican restaurants I’ve been too. It also was not too oily & greesy. The waiter also got it right with all the changes I asked for. My family and I enjoyed this place for lunch when we visited Majic Springs. It was so much better leaving the park to get this awesome food, and then returning after to the park for more fun.

Decent margaritas and good service is what got this to a 3. The guacamole was very odd, definitely an odd texture and tasted very much like it came prepared. My shrimp was undercooked so I didn’t eat it. But the cheese sauce and chicken was fine. My dining companion did not care for the carnitas, probably wouldn’t come back here again honestly.

Shrimp enchiladas and carnitas were our food choices. The pork was served as a roast that had to be shredded by us. It was super tasty. Plenty of food. Brought some home.

Huge portions, very attentive waiter, good prices. Went with work colleagues for lunch. We received complimentary fresh tortilla chips and salsa that were very good. I ordered the torta (sandwich) from the lunch menu, with a side of 3 tamales with red sauce from the regular menu, plus a sweet tea that was refillable (but I barely finished the one large glass). Everything was amazingly massive in size and flavour (I immediately thought about the warning “Never eat anything larger than your head” – it was very close so I took away 1/2 my food). Very satisfied.
