Great food, my friend got a quesadilla meal and it came out VERY quickly probably less than 10-15 minutes. Mine came shortly after, but I did get more food than her so that’s understandable. I loved it, and I went back for a sunday margarita which was also very nice, it was recommended to me by a friend and I’ll have to thank them next time I see them. Not expensive either, very reasonable prices. I got quesabirria tacos and cheese dip, my friend got a quesadilla meal and her child got a burger meal, and it was about $48 before tip.

I had never been to Don Jose’s before, and I wanted to try a new Mexican restaurant in town so we landed here. I ordered the Taquitos Mexicanos, as I hadn’t seen that on the menu of any other mexican resturant I had been too. It was pretty good! The tortillas were really crispy, though I do wish it was less greasy/oily inside the actual meat, but the guacamole in the middle balanced it all out. The rice was kind of bland, but still pretty good. Would definitely come back again if I am ever craving taquitos!

Me and my befriend went here for our first date and had an amazing experience! Staff was very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere of the restaurant is incredibly beautiful and inviting. Portion sizes are crazy as we ended up taking leftovers home that we ended up eating as a late night that was delicious even then. This is now our special place that we would more than enjoy going back to on more than one occasion. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Thanks again for the wonderful experience and hope to see y’all again very soon! ❤️

This is some of best food I’ve had in Jonesboro. The atmosphere isn’t too loud and it’s honestly very homey. The staff was extremely friendly going so far as to help a mother when her baby dropped her bottle at a table next to us. The food came out rather quickly which might sound like a red flag to some people. However, this is the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten apart from the actual Mexican food I ate in Mexico itself. I got the tacos de Carne asada and my girlfriend got the beef chimichanga. Beef in my tacos with seasoned perfectly complimenting the onions and cilantro along with the lime juice. My girlfriend’s chimichanga, however had a slightly different seasoning going more for a chili style which was a welcome addition. Overall, I will be getting her again to try more of their exquisite menu.

The food is absolutely amazing has been one of my favorite since i’ve moved here. BUT the last couple of times we’ve come every FOH employee is on their phone. Today we sat 13 minutes after receiving our Drink. Front host, didn’t put her phone down but it sit us. both servers were leaned on the wall on their phone. it being 1:30 in the afternoon with us making table number 3

Even though they were about to close and I do not like putting restaurant people on that situation they served us perfectly and faster than I’ve ever been served at any restaurant , have to throw that out there anyways food was delicious courteous waitress guy and woman I even gave a $30 tip never done that in my life not for restaurant anyways try this place very good I recommend the shrimp quesadilla have a nice day.

Best Mexican food in town! We’ve tried a lot of the Mexican restaurants in Jonesboro but we keep coming back to Don Jose. The service is always so quick and between the time we order it’s probably 10 minutes till the food comes out! They are very attentive and the food is absolutely amazing, we haven’t had anything that we don’t like there.
