This was really good! It was my first time in. I got the mahi, black beans and street corn-all tasty. The mahi was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. I tried a bit of the burrito sauce on my son’s plate-which was really yummy, I can see why this was a repeat order for him. It was creamy and delicious. The salsa has a nice depth to it, love it when it’s more spice than sweet.
The art is great, it’s a good vibe in the old building. I wish there were a couple smaller table options outside, as I prefer to eat outside and it seemed there were mostly or only tables for larger parties. They were very busy and handling it well, our server was great! In the end we were a little confused on the bill for a side charge compared to the menu, but they were super busy and it wasn’t worth a fuss, this may be something to keep in mind when ordering though-to clarify number of included sides.
It seemed clean and fairly priced for the portions, with seafood and a couple veggie or cheese options. I’d for sure go again and try something else!

I wish we had gone sooner! The Garcia family has a way with restaurants and this is no exception. Great atmosphere, presentation, staff, and, of course, food. I had Abuela’s Tamales and flan. So good! And the salsa I could drink!

Second visit and its just a s good. Being from So Cal i am used to a certain style of food and while this place is different, its every bit as good. Food is very flavorful without being too spicy. Food is very very good. Far above any other “Mexican restaurant” ive been to since moving two years ago. Its a bit upscale mexican and im ok with that. Thanks Don Jockey for the great Food and atmosphere. . Margaritas are good too! Try the banana burrito!

November 2026 visit… They are really close to be deserving of 5 stars but again with this visit, service just not up to par, but the food like always right on point… My wife ordered a Poloma and they didn’t have ingredients to make it, I did the blackboard special organic margarita and it was just easy too tart, heartburn maker lol, so added a shot of Grand M.
Nice authentic Mexican restaurant in the middle of downtown Midway.. Eaten here a few times and service has been off and on but the food has been good and consistent…. Pricing is fair on the food but the drinks definitely can add up

Fantastic gourmet food at good prices. Everything we ordered was flavorful and our server was busy yet attended to us in a timely fashion. Our seafood was fresh and well seasoned. The tamales had a delicious filling. I loved the enchiladas and the jalapeno margarita the most. These are truly traditional recipes made right! I will be back!

First timer from out of town visiting my family. They had heard good reviews and recommended that we give it a try. We ordered guacamole and chips for an appetizer. The guac and salsa were very good. The chips are made to order but had a slight oily taste that I thought took away from the flavor. We had the chicken and beef fajitas combination platter for our entree. The seasoning they use was really flavorful and really stood out. Added a side of street corn. Definitely would recommend.

Amazing and fresh food. We loved the Pollo Tequila Lime Chicken and Grilled Chicken Fajitas. Save room for dessert and get the churros. They are hot, soft, creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Waitstaff and super friendly and they work together as a cohesive team. We also loved their bar area. Great, authentic food in a fun location. Will definately be back!!
