Don Eladio’s Cantina in King George, Virginia provided an outstanding and authentic Mexican dining experience that truly exceeded expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and lively — the kind of environment that immediately puts you in the mood for a great meal.

We started with the queso dip, which was nothing short of phenomenal — rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. It paired wonderfully with their fresh, crispy tortilla chips. The house margarita was another highlight; it had a perfect balance of flavor and strength, easily one of the best I’ve had in quite some time.

For my entrée, I ordered the chicken quesadilla and added shrimp, and I have absolutely no complaints. The quesadilla was perfectly cooked — golden on the outside, loaded with tender chicken, juicy shrimp, and melted cheese on the inside. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me more than satisfied by the end of the meal.

The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring everything came out quickly and exactly as ordered. Overall, Don Eladio’s Cantina is a must-visit spot for anyone in or passing through the King George area who’s craving high-quality, authentic Mexican cuisine. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others looking for great food, drinks, and service.

I ate in this establishment the other day and it was clean and I loved the food like always. What I did not love was my waitress though, in fact I was highly disappointed in Kya and her skills as a waitress. Did not feel welcome at all, didn’t ask my party or me for a single refill on our drinks the whole time she was serving us, nor did she even try to take initiative and give us boxes or bags with our food to go. We pretty much had to ask for everything and any restaurant I’ve been to has never been like that. Not to mention as I was about to pay I asked if they took Apple Pay and she replied saying there was no Apple Pay. They take Apple Pay because I’ve paid before like that in this establishment. Other than the service everything else was fine and I recommend going if you ask for a waiter/waitress other than Kya..

No matter how much you want it, don’t order the mexican paella, It is not what you think it is. In this restaurant, a paella is an expensive soup that is not near what a real paella is. I didn’t return it because I never knew the feelings of the cook after having to prepare something else if you know what I mean. I tried to eat it and chocked with a piece of broken clam shell. For me , that was it, I could not go on. I explained the server , what just happened and as a Hispanic we know what a real paella is, but hoping for the manager to come and at least say something for how unsatisfied I was with the whole situation, but no…no body came , no body apologize on behalf of the kitchen. They didn’t just care about it. It is not our first time in this place, so sad it come to this. Other than that, the server that can do so much, no manager to say anything. Only the servers understood and, as always, provided a great service. Everything else on the menu is delicious judging from pass experience, Last note, stick to order beer .. they also suck in cocktails. They are not good and overpriced .

We had our food delivered. It could have been a little warmer but the flavors were spot on and that is some of the best guacamole.
We are full and happy! Thank You!

Service was slow. Drinks were overly strong.
Wife got burrito Long black hair wrapped inside. They offered a deefried tortilla with whipped cream as an apology. Don’t recommend this place as a nice sit down expensive and disappointing

I recently dined at Don Eladio’s Cantina, and while there were some redeeming qualities, the overall experience left much to be desired.

To start with the positives, the service was friendly. The server greeted us with a warm smile and was attentive. Unfortunately, the friendliness didn’t translate into efficiency, as everything took an unusually long time. I waited quite a while for my drinks and even longer for my food, which disrupted the flow of my evening.

As for the food, it was unfortunately subpar. I had high hopes based on the menu descriptions, but the flavors didn’t quite deliver.

Overall, I would say Don Eladio’s Cantina has potential, especially with its friendly staff, but the slow service and lackluster food made for a less enjoyable dining experience.

I frequent this restaurant and I’ve enjoyed my experiences each time I visit. Recently, I’ve started bringing my kids with me and they enjoy it just as much. On my last visit, I had the Quesabirrias and they did not disappoint. They’re so delicious I can’t wait to return.
