Reviews
Our server was cordial, very personable and responsive. The better half ordered the Burrito Supremos and I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla with both chicken and steak, which our server told us there would be an uncharge.
We also ordered the queso for our chips, which we enjoyed as well as the salsa that is served with the chips.
Our food came in a reasonable amount of time and my quesadilla was delicious. The only complaint the better half had was that the sauce was a bit runny, but he enjoyed the burritos very much.
We will definitely return, much sooner than later!
One Friday evening I decided to give Don Cuervo a shot. The decor style includes dark mahogany wood seating, black and white images throughout, and a wall mural by the bar of what appears to be of the Angel of Independence monument in Mexico city.
My meal of choice was arroz con pollo. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The portion of rice seemed somewhat modest, but had a good, cheesy and zesty flavor. Service was kindly, although my server did seem a little rushed. She appeared to have her hands full attending other tables though, so understandable.
Overall, a very good dining experience!
To be honest the potato’s were great. But carne asada just isn’t carne asada without the rice and beans
The last couple of times I’ve had fajita beef it has been mushy. Tastes like it was prepared earlier in the week and sat around. I have been getting the carne asada since it’s an actual cut that they prepare when you order it to get around. This last visit I went with the chef’s special and the meat was terrible. Service has slipped. The one thing I did notice, the manager that ran the last restaurant in the ground was working there again.
I hope Don Cuervo can rebound quickly because it’s very convenient to have a good mexican food option close to home.
