I went to Don Coqui for brunch and everything was incredible! The tres leches pancakes, steak and eggs, and yuca fries were all delicious — every dish came out flavorful and perfectly cooked. The highlight of the meal was definitely the passion fruit mimosa, which was so refreshing and full of flavor. The Coquito shots were delicious!

Great birthday dinner for my husband. From when I started the reservation I had to change time 3x due to weather and they were so understanding and accommodating. Food was delicious & served in perfect timing. Our server Alvaro was amazing as was the managers on duty. Perfect evening and we were able to purchase nice framed photos of ourselves for souvenirs! Highly recommended.

I can see why this place is highly rated. We went for a birthday and I must say this place is simply amazing. The food,service, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Our server Marion was awesome! Super friendly and attentive. If I had to knock something would be the parking, but they do offer valet for a fee. Also, the tables are a little small. But outside of all that, it was an amazing experience!

Finally getting around to sharing my experience from a visit last July. Don Coqui has such a great location and lively reputation, so we were excited to try it. I really want to give this place a shot again.
Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. It was very hot where we were seated and the ceiling fans above us were off. Our waiter mentioned he would turn them on but never followed up, and there wasn’t an apology. We waited over 20 minutes for our order to be taken, and by the time he returned, nearby tables were filled so we couldn’t move. The food also took a while to come out, which made sitting in the heat uncomfortable.
The food itself was just okay. My boyfriend really enjoyed his pork chops with mashed potatoes – those were the standout. I ordered the steak with onions and wasn’t particularly impressed. We also had an appetizer (pictured) that looked like a tuna tartare-style dish, possibly seasonal, though I couldn’t find it listed online.
I’ve walked by in the evenings and the atmosphere seems much more energetic, so I’d consider giving it another try at night or with a group.

Amazing experience! We went on a Friday night for my best friend’s birthday and had a window seat with beautiful NYC views. The DJ kept the vibe fun all night, and the food and drinks were great. They even surprised us by singing happy birthday with a huge LED screen and a sparkler. Perfect spot to celebrate any special occasion!

Stopped here for early dinner. Beautiful ambience and great service. The server was friendly and the manager walked around checking on tables and let us know they emphasized on their service to make sure it meets standards. There was a lot of birthdays being celebrated there. The drinks were great they also gave us a coquito shot at the end ( they have virgin option too) it was amazing. The food was flavorful too

I visited this spot over the weekend with a large group of 10 and was genuinely impressed. The location feels like a hidden gem, set on its own pier with a very private vibe. The team was excellent fast, attentive, and they handled our party seamlessly. The food was delicious I ordered the seafood paella and a wagyu roll, and it was absolutely outstanding. They also have a great cocktail selection, and the coquito was just as good as the food. Overall, it was 100% worth it, and I highly recommend checking it out.

I knew this spot wasn’t cheap going in, but the menu with literally zero prices still caught me off guard. You order blind, then brace yourself when the check finally shows up. The receipt was itemized… sort of. That’s the problem. It’s a sloppy mess of line items where some things are correctly priced and others just say $0.00 for no reason. In my case it looked like one dish (what I thought was a starter) rang up at $99 while my actual main course showed up as exactly nothing. good luck matching them to what actually landed on the table. You end up doing detective work on your own bill instead of just paying and leaving. At these prices you expect the basics, clear menu pricing up front and an accurate, readable breakdown at the end. Neither happened. The food and vibe might be solid, but the whole money part felt disrespectful and left me more irritated than impressed. Don’t even get me started on the AUTOMATIC GRATUITY of 18% for a party of 2 or more (my party was a party of 2) Won’t be hurrying back.

I will return again! We celebrated my wife’s birthday as it seemed everytother person was! The service was tremendous from the staff and managers. Shout out to “J” whom made some adjustments to our service that allowed my wife to enjoy her time!!
Pros:
From the door, which is opened for you, to the seat you are greeted with smiles and attention. They care about providing great service and they execute it. The appetizers were good (we had the tower or display with chicken, calamari,empenadas, etc) and the sauces were amazing! Food came out timely l. The decor was nice, the place was really clean and the location is 10-15 pictures worthy. The dishes are displayed very nicely, red snapper, lobster and the paella. I had Red snapper and it was delicious!
Cons:
Parking maybe slightly far, as they use the full front for valet. Not really a critique but something for everyone to be aware of.

Couldn’t be happier to have chosen Don Coqui for my wife’s bday dinner. Our server Esteban was great. Suggested a couple of things we should try and very attentive. The people next to us were asking a million questions about the food. He was patient and very knowledgeable. Excellent service. The food was amazing. We started off with the guacamole. My wife had the paella and i had the churrasco. For desert we had the coconut flan . Overall everything was 10/10. Highly recommend this place.
