At any restaurant, you expect to get what you pay for, and in this case the dish is not worth the price. I recommend skipping the New York steak, since what they serve is not a special cut and feels more like a basic menu item.
I hope they improve the quality and consistency, because I’ve always enjoyed this place.
We also ordered the lomo saltado and the chicken soup. Both were just okay, nothing special. Ceviche was good.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we didn’t end up enjoying our visit. Hopefully they can improve the consistency of their dishes.
Definitely visit them!
We indulged in the Ceviche de Puerto, a delightful combination of fish, octopus, calamari, shrimp, cilantro, aji, and leche de tigre, all enhanced by a zesty, lemony sauce that was simply refreshing. The Bistec de Barrio wowed us with a perfectly cooked NY strip steak, alongside flavorful meats like chorizo and chicharrón, served with yucca, plantains, a fried egg, and rice, all elevated further with a tantalizing chimichurri sauce. The Arroz con Mariscos, their take on paella, was packed with fresh seafood and a burst of flavors.
Every dish was authentic and delicious, incredibly well-priced, and served in generous portions. The staff provided quick and friendly service, improving the overall experience.
Best ceviche, empanadas from all south America, lomo saltado and great service! The staff was very nice, attentive, quick and were not distracted. The atmosphere is calm and the decor is traditional. They also have live music on special occasions!
The ceviche is so good and very flavorful. My favorite dish! You cannot leave the resturant without trying the Aji de Gallina which ROCKS and is very yummy! The quasa is also my favorite right behind the ceviche and the cheese empanadas. And don’t get me started on the mouthwatering desserts!!! The churro which the resturant is named after cannot disappoint, it is chewy and heavenly! Almost everyone in my family ordered the lemonade! The lemonade is perfect for cooling yourself of on a hot day, and it will make other lemonades jealous! The owner is Peruvian and the food is perfectly authentic! Come and you will not be disappointed!
