Maybe it was just a bad day but this place was very dirty (we didn’t really notice until after we had eaten).
We had the burritos with steak. The steak was tough and the tortillas did not hold up in the cheese sauce ending up a soupy mess before we were half way through. I would not recommend this dish

Absolutely the most awesome Mexican food. Everything you get there is just so good you end up eating too. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. it only has one problem and that is that the toilet is not bolted down. So when you use the bathroom it makes a horrible crashing sound and it rocks terribly.

Food is actually pretty good, service is better!!! The drinks are nice as well!!! Good place to stop and eat lunch or supper!!! Chicken nachos are my favorite, I just suggest they make their goat cheese just a little thicker and not so thinned out and diluted with milk… It makes the tortilla chips soft and soggy!!!

Love the variety of their menu. Some items are titled differently than other Mexican restaurants but the staff is super helpful and can explain and compare dishes for you. If you need any recommendations or have any questions ask Hans. He’s the guy in charge of this location and always greets customers with a huge genuine smile and a great welcoming attitude.

I’m not sure exactly what was wrong today. But they had one kid who stayed on his phone the ENTIRE time, and turned the music VERY loud because our kids had our phones playing baby shark very low. He was young and disrespectful. The food was NOT up to par. And everyone talks this place up, but honestly it wasn’t that great. The beef tacos taste like literally nothing. And the cheese has zero flavor. I do not recommend this place. Also the kid didn’t clean the tables up around us, the place was just dirty.

Ate here once before. The food was your average Mexican food. Not many choices in Collinsville, so came back again.
The waiter brought out the complimentary chips and salsa. He sat down three salsa bowls for each guest. One in the stack was about a quarter full of dirty dish water. He took those back and brought three more bowls. I started handing them out and a small roach crawled out.
Eat here at your own health risk!!!

Went to get something for aunt, she really enjoyed their tacos. The service was quite good and the prices very reasonable. Overall a pretty good place to eat.

Ate at Don Chico’s again and food and service much improved! Friendly servicer and tables clean. Has good take out business going. Cheese sauce still to thin, like dipping your chips in milk….only complaint though.

Nice lil hole in the wall I would say. Place doesn’t stand out but the food makes up for it. Employees was super nice and the restaurant was clean and the food was wonderful.. honestly my daughter got a chicken quesadilla that she couldn’t eat all of so I wanted to taste it and it was probably one of the best I’ve ever had honestly. Will eat again. Thank you

Pretty good authentic Mexican food. It was a bit pricey for the area and the Queso was a bit bland. The staff was super nice and our drinks were never empty, I’ll definitely go back.
