Fabulous!!! So many folks said to try the chicken parmigiana-I couldn’t believe that a routine menu staple on SI could be elevated to this level. It was amazing and the accompanying spiral pasta was phenomenal. We also had the spaghetti carbonara. Wow!!! Can’t wait to return.

Food was delicious. My orders didn’t come as presented in the menu…Nonna’s chicken, vegetable and tortellini soup…didn’t include the tortellini…once they acknowledged it… ditalini was sent in instead ♂️…ordered the salmon bread crumb & pesto included with asparagus….missing the asparagus…spring vegetables were sent instead…a bit disappointed since all the food was delicious..but not as ordered

Always a treat to go to Massimo’s restaurant! Atmosphere is very nice. Attentive staff and bar attender makes delicious drinks! Pistachio tuna and chocolate cake out of this world! My sons had hamburger and a duck, they said it was the most delicious lunch they ever had! Can’t wait to comeback for more!

Restaurant was decorated amazing!! City vibe, vibrant colors, jazz dinner music..excellent. Cocktails were amazing, oysters, entrees were big and tasty. Would’ve been a 5 star however, The one issue Don Cheech suffers from is poor service. We had a pretentious waiter with glasses who never introduced himself to us, and we waited 30mins before receiving our first round of drinks. Luckily we were saved by another staff member Taylor, who literally became our “waitress” for the remainder of the evening. If Don Cheech can hire more help like Taylor & not “pretentious glasses man” they’ll do great.

Outstanding drinks especially the house special cuban old fashioned. Appetizers are authentic well executed, high quality ingredients and most importantly very pleasing to the taste. Spanish white sardines are exceptional and the carpaccio is to die for.

If you want excellent Italian food, you need to try Don Cheech. It’s nice decor and it’s surprisingly bigger than it looks from the outside. The food was top notch. We had the zucchini flowers and the figs wrapped in prosciutto which were both appetizer specials. A Must try but I imagine will only be able to get it in season. Double Cut pork chop was dressed with cherry peppers and hot peppers and a vinegar sauce with broccoli rabe. It was so tender and juicy and could very well be the best pork chop I ever had. Chicken parm dish was HUGEEE and could feed two people. Our server Jose was great, friendly and funny. Great experience and will definitely be coming back and recommending to anyone looking for amazing Italian food on the island.

When we entered Don Cheech I was automatically transported back to my younger years in Brooklyn. This restaurant is a classic Italian-American resturant with great ambiance. We were greeted with a smile from the manager like she knew us forever. The lights were dimmed perfectly and the music was playing at the right volume. Then we were escorted to our table. At that moment we knew we would not be disappointed.
