We were on our way back from spending my son’s birthday in Galveston. It’s was 9pm and after stopping at Chilos they left us sitting for awhile waiting for someone. We walked out and found this spot. Less than an hour from closing but they welcomed us, the hostess was awesome our server an older guy was excellent as well. Our drinks and food came out quick. He made sure our drinks stayed filled and kept checking on us through out our time there. The food was excellent. My son found a piece of plastic wrap in his food. We didn’t make a fuss just called the hostess over and showed her. They made a fuss and made my son an order to go and I think they even took it off the bill. All in all it was an excellent experience.

Went here with my nephew who was in town for the day and it was close to the airport. We were greeted and seated right away. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was very good, I had the chicken tortilla soup which was very delicious.

Came for lunch and didn’t have to wait at all. Super friendly service and prompt. The food was okay, but not extraordinary. I had the lunch Fajitatillas Al pastor. Might come back and try a different dish.

Took mom for Mother’s day. Service and food were both good. Definitely reccomend the chicken tortilla soup. It was a little dark in the main dining room but we got used to it. To me it seemed like a good value for what we had. Will keep coming back.

Every time my family and I visit, they’re on point. The staff remembers us and greets us like we’re old friends and the food… OMG, they seriously make the best fajita. Great food and drink specials, plenty of parking, and delicious, big plates for the price.

We visited Don Carlos on our visit to Houston. We arrived at a good time, before noon, it started to get busy after 12:30.
The environment, decorations and service was great.
The food was delicious, very tasty, Portions are big. Prices are not bad for the service and quality you are getting. Great restaurant overall. I would recommend to eat at Don Carlos if you are in Houston.

This is my third visit to this restaurant. On my first visit I met the couple who owns the place….they were friendly and down to earth. They serve an amazing selection of Tex-Mex and Traditional Mexican dishes along with the most refreshing drinks and cocktails. If you want to sit and be social they have a nice bar to the right of the entrance. They have a daily $10.95 special that I always order comes with rice, beans, soft taco, two enchiladas with trimmings and sauces and it’s a huge serving. The other dishes they make are just as delicious. Jalapenos and Pico de Gallo will be extra but other than that I have no complaints. Thanks for the great service everyone.

We (party of 2) arrived at 4:30 pm on a Monday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy. We were sat immediately and our drink ordered were taken.
The service was fast. The food was good and everything tasted fresh. The prices are affordable and the portion sizes are sufficient. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. I didn’t care for the flavor of the beans that came with it. My cousin enjoyed his burrito and Campechana appetizer.
They gave us chips and salsa. One of the salsas tasted like it had avocado in it and was pretty good. When you walk in they have a table that gives a visual of some of their entrees.
I did have to wait for drink refills on several occasions which is always annoying especially when a place isn’t busy.
Our waitress was nice but she didn’t listen. I asked for our check to be split and she brought one check. I placed a to go order for a chimichanga and asked for the queso cheese to be placed in a separate container on the side. When she brought it out, the queso was on top with extra in a separate container on the side. That was annoying.
I paid $16 for a chicken Chimichanga. The price was fair for the portion size, amount of meat inside and sides.
The restaurant looks very old and needs to be updated. The leather in the seats of the booth we sat in were cracked.
