Don Antonio’s is one of those rare places where food, history, and family come together effortlessly. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like old friends. We sat in the cave, which created a warm and intimate atmosphere that felt like a big family gathering.
The history of this restaurant is present in every detail. It has been family-owned for generations, and you can feel that pride in both the food and the service. Adam, part of the third generation, was so gracious and attentive, carrying on a tradition built on heart and hospitality.
The food and drinks were unforgettable. The margaritas were truly some of the best I have ever had, and every plate was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. We had such a great time that the drinks were flowing and laughter filled the night, leaving me with only a few photos to share. I will definitely be back to add more to the collection.
Don Antonio’s is more than a restaurant. It is an experience, a piece of Los Angeles history, and a celebration of family tradition. With delicious food, incredible drinks, and hospitality that makes you feel at home, this is a place you will want to return to again and again.

This place is over the top. We strangest off with Queso Funito it was a great appetizer. Queso cheese and chorizo. I had the Chili Reno and a Carna Asada taco both great. My wife had the Birra Tacos plate and my son had the burrito. Everything was perfect and fast. Service was amazing did not have to ask for more chips they brought them out and replaced with hot ones before we even finished. Very reasonably priced too 3 of us was $77. I would highly recommend Don Antonio’s to anyone.

Service was amazing; staff is very friendly. The restaurant is dated and dark. All that aside, from the reviews I was expecting fantastic food, but it was just okay. I thought the chips were very thick and salsa was spicy, but grows on you. The chicken tortilla soup is not good. The chicken was tough on the outside and the broth was more like tomato soup. We also ordered the enchiladas and we asked for chicken with green sauce and beef with red and we got chicken with red and beef with green. The food flavor isn’t bad, but different than what I expected or wanted.

Don Antonio has a lot going for it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food came out right on time, which I appreciated. The tacos were tasty, but I was a bit let down by the presentation, having them wrapped in aluminum foil took away from the traditional vibe I was hoping for in a sit-down Mexican restaurant. I expected a bit more authenticity in the plating. Also, a heads-up: the red salsa that comes with the chips is extremely hot, not for the faint of heart! Parking can be tricky too; unless you find a spot in the back alley, it’s tough. Solid food overall, but just shy of perfect.

We were in earlier this month and Javier and Max looked after us like we were royalty! Welcomed us the moment we sat down … Max brought us chips and salsa, Javier took our order and in less than 15 minutes we were enjoying the best Mexican food on the Westside! As we all know it takes a village to make things run smoothly. Javier and Max take it to the next level! They are the Best of the Best and continually shower us with their Five Star customer service each and every time!

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
I came here with my family to celebrate my mom’s birthday dinner, and it turned into a horrible experience. The food tasted old and not fresh at all. About six hours after eating, we all started feeling sick. Everyone had stomach aches and diarrhea, two of my family members were vomiting, and I personally had a fever and severe stomach pain.
We all experienced the exact same symptoms, which makes it very clear that this was food poisoning. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a special night for my mom.
This was beyond disappointing and honestly alarming. I will definitely be reporting this place.

Fun spot. Good food. Unique and different flavors than some generic ones out there.
Had the fajitas and the Deluxe Burrito which I suggest splitting. It’s freakin huge.
Served was great. They are on top of it.
Fajitas are a show. They come out like a tornado of steaming clouds.
Stiff drinks.
Great outdoor seating.
Good find.
