I got the Poke Bowl with chicken, fried onion, spicy sauce and sushi rice. It was so good! My kids got the spicy ramen and were fiting over it!
As someone who has spent years exploring cities through their food, I can say this spot delivers an experience that goes well beyond a simple meal. The first thing that struck me was the quality of the food itself. Every dish tasted thoughtfully prepared — balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and that kind of attention to detail you normally only expect in more upscale dining. It’s approachable yet memorable, the kind of place where even a casual lunch feels elevated.
The location is another advantage. Being so close to ODU makes it a convenient go-to for students, faculty, and visitors, while the proximity to shopping areas gives it an extra layer of accessibility. You can easily pair a meal here with a day of errands, shopping, or a stroll through campus life. For travelers, it’s exactly the kind of reliable, well-placed restaurant you want bookmarked — easy to reach, but offering a genuine local flavor rather than a generic experience.
Service was equally impressive. The staff managed to strike that balance between efficiency and warmth — attentive without being overbearing, and always ready with helpful suggestions. For me, that’s a key part of the dining experience, especially when visiting new cities.
Overall, this isn’t just a convenient place to eat; it’s a destination in itself. Great food, thoughtful service, and a prime location make it a standout. Whether you’re local, passing through, or visiting ODU, this spot deserves a place on your list.
And yes, once again — 10/10 on the Osiris Hotness Scale .
I ordered online a Poke Bowl with a spring mix base, shrimp, salmon, w/ ginger. I got half a bowl salmon & ginger, barely any salad and 4 shrimp.
I will now go inside and watch my bowl be prepared b/c the amount of ginger and salmon was too heavy handed; to drop $30+ on lunch I didn’t enjoy it upsetting.
**I’ve attached a photo as to how much ginger was in my bowl. Adding roasted seaweed toppings had nothing to do with the amount of GINGER that was in my lunch**
