I tried sushi lunch and Korean fried chicken while my wife had a handroll Dosirak. We were very impressed. We both are from Korea, so we have somewhat high standard when it comes to Korean cousines. Korean fried chicken was just like what we had in Korea and sushi and roll quality was excellent.
3 hour garage parking is also great. I tend not to travel to downtown/uptown Dallas due to parking, but it was very easy to find the parking and the restaurant offers free 3hr garage parking pass. Make sure to bring a ticket with you.
We had the three-course sushi dinner and also tried the miso black cod as an extra bite — definitely worth trying! The yukgaejang cold noodles were a little too spicy for me, but if you enjoy spicy food, you might like it.
The hwe dupbap is also worth trying — the presentation is very interesting and nicely done!
Overall, a great experience!
Service 10/10
Atmosphere: 10/10 (calm & minimal)
Cleanliness: 10/10
I came with my friends to celebrate a birthday, and the great food and friendly service made the night one to remember! We ordered the handrolls, 3-course sushi dinner, and both desserts. Every single bite was amazing, and the flavor combos are unique! It was so good that I came back and had the 3-course lunch. Not only are the staff very welcoming and great at explaining, but the restaurant vibes are also cozy and calm. The music is relaxing and not loud, which is something I always look for so that I’m not shouting or struggling to hear the person I’m talking with. Highly recommend Domodomo Ko!! 🙂
Got good advice on the menu. Did the ~$50 price fixed menu and added the cauliflower appetizer and a nice bottle of Oregon Chardonnay “Resonance.”
The only issue was the bill. The Resonance was listed at $95 but showed up as $150 on the bill. Random desserts were added as well. All in all about $70 in charges were added hat should not have been. These were removed once this was pointed out.
Good food, but check your bill!
The only small miss was the first dish being a bit bland, I’d recommend a burst of grapefruit. However everything after that was excellent. Sub-$100 tasting menus that actually hit on flavor are rare… Domo Domo is one of them. A standout spot in Dallas and one I’m excited to revisit as the menu changes seasonally.
We started with the cucumber starter, which was so fresh and crisp, followed by the cold noodles that were light and flavorful. The hamachi crudo was excellent, bright and balanced. We also ordered toro, tuna, and snapper nigiri, and each piece was so fresh and clean tasting. The snapper in particular was outstanding.
The fried chicken was a surprise favorite and something I would recommend to anyone visiting. We also had a few hand rolls, and the miso ginger cod hand roll was the star of the night. For dessert we tried both options, and the shisho dessert with cornflakes was unique and absolutely delicious.
Every server we interacted with was kind and professional, the restrooms were spotless, and we even had the chance to meet one of the managers who was genuinely warm and welcoming. This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in Dallas, and I will definitely be back.
