This place is pretty cool. It has a legitimate ramen menu. Their sushi is fire. The menu has a lot to offer. I am a big fan. The only reason it’s a 4 star and not a 5 is because this place isn’t big enough for the volume of business they pull in. They have a lot of tables pretty close together. It definitely seats more people than a typical restaurant of that size. It was pretty loud. They were crazy busy when we were there. They handled it well.

Absolutely the best sushi in Evansville. Don’t order off the menu. Go to the sushi bar and get omakase which means the sushi chef will pick your meal plate by plate. It’s amazing! They build the meal around you! This is coming from a chef from Miami Florida and Brasilia Brasil in South America. I have extensive experience with very good high end sushi restaurants.

I ordered my meal at the same time as my guest. We both got the same sushi roll, the Green River Roll (GRR), but he also ordered an additional Winter Roll. So in total, our order consisted of two GRRs and one Winter Roll.

When the food arrived, my guest received both of his rolls first. I assumed mine would follow shortly—but it didn’t. After waiting about seven minutes, our server, Richelle, came over and asked if everything was okay. We let her know we were still waiting on my order. She simply said, “Okay,” and walked away without making any effort to check on the status of my food.

I figured my roll would be out any minute, so I continued to wait. Another five minutes passed, and Richelle returned to ask again if everything was okay. Once more, we told her we were still waiting on my order. Instead of addressing the issue, she just said, “Okay,” and walked away again. At no point did she go to the kitchen or offer any explanation for the delay, which only added to my frustration.

Five more minutes went by, and a different server approached us, asking if everything was alright. We explained, yet again, that I was still waiting on my food. He nodded and mentioned that Richelle had come to him, saying she didn’t understand what we were saying. That was both baffling and disappointing. While I understand that mistakes happen and always try to be respectful toward staff, her inability to acknowledge or resolve the issue—and then passing it off to another server—felt unprofessional and dismissive.

I finally received my order at 6:27 PM. By then, I was so frustrated that I just asked for a to-go box so I could leave. When we got the bill, I checked the time stamp to make sure I wasn’t overreacting. Our order had been placed at 5:58 PM. A nearly 30-minute wait for a simple sushi roll would be understandable on a busy weekend night—but on a quiet Tuesday with only three other occupied tables and multiple servers visible? There was no reason for this kind of delay.

To make matters worse, by the time I finally got my roll, I had lost my appetite. And unfortunately, the food wasn’t good enough to make up for the frustrating experience.

I’ve dined here before and never had an issue, but after this experience, I doubt I’ll return. The lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service made for a disappointing visit.

I just love eating at Domo! I sat at the sushi bar today, and it’s so neat to see the sushi artists at work. They made me a cute little appetizer I had the Hot Halloween Roll, and Seafood Ramen. The Ramen had shrimp, scallops, and squid. Yummy. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Their ginger is fresher and has more flavor than most places in town. Service was quick and friendly. If you sit at the sushi bar, you get to watch them make their amazing creations. True sushi artists here. Highly recommend
Update: they now have a ramen bar and it’s awesome!

My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary! The food and service were both spectacular. It was my husband’s first time at a hibachi restaurant. We both loved everything.

My wife was going into surgery in a couple of days before we came in, and I wanted to take her to her favorite place to eat before she went on a liquid diet. We went in an hour before they close with our family of five, and I already felt guilty asking for hibachi because our little girls had never seen it. Our server was already beyond friendly and especially caring once I told her about my wife’s oncoming health issues. The chef was also happy, humorous, and talkative. The guy was just who I wanted for my family to keep our spirits up. I even helped light the onion volcano, gave him my lighter, and felt part of the act. You couldn’t put a price on the amount of fun my kids had and the smile on my wife’s face when we got back home after the experience. 11/10 would recommend. 🙂

Delightful find in Evansville while on a business trip. Saw the good reviews and I agree with them. There are classic hibachi tables, a standard seating area, and a sushi bar. I ate in standard seating but ordered the hibachi filet and shrimp combo. The included ginger salad was refreshing and the dressing was very tasty- almost a creamy ginger. The meal was served very nice visually and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The steak was also cooked to perfection but sadly my exact cut of meat was a bit too marbled for me. Happens. Either way I had more than enough to eat and everything was prepared well.

Food was delicious! Had the rice and sushi options instead of the hibachi. The service was a bit slow. We could oddly hear the server attending to the table next to us with recommendations and checking in but they seemed to ignore us.

Hamachi Kama was 5 stars

The taste of the rest of the food is not to my liking. The Tonkatsu was so bad I didn’t eat it, and they did not refund me or offer to exchange it for something else. Nigiri was ok but not for the prices they charge.

I would not go back but would recommend you try it yourself. Everyone’s taste is different.

We mostly come here for ramen and sushi, both are great. If you want a special experience sit at the sushi bar and let the chef decide (omakase).

Edit 1/20/26: I usually come here once a month and the table service has never been great but recently it has gotten worse. During my most recent visit we got our appetizers before we got our waters or even anything to eat the appetizer with. So we were just sitting there watching our food while our waitress was not interesting in getting either of those things, after waiting a while I had to get up and walk across the whole restaurant to grab chopsticks from the sushi bar so we could eat our food, and on top of that our entrees were completely wrong and our waitress even tried to argue with us and tell us that’s what we ordered. I won’t be coming back for a while and I hope when I finally do the service is better because the food really is special.
