Yes! Dominos is back on the rock! After years, maybe even decades of absence, they’ve reopened up shop, this time in the Maui Lani Shopping Center.
MENU:
Pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, chicken wings, breads, salads, desserts.
ATMOSPHERE:
The small shop has a small seating area inside with 4 booths. If you want to dine outdoors there are some outdoor seating near Ululani’s.
FOOD:
Deluxe Feast Pizza
It’s been years, no wait, decades, since I last had a slice of Dominos. Yowza, talk about DELISH! Sorry Pizza Hut, I’m going to be coming here from now on! This pie was topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, fresh mushrooms, white onions, cheese, over marinara, on a handmade pan crust. The crust had a nice crispiness to it with a soft center, and the ingredients just tasted so fresh and flavorful. I was reading the pizza box and it stated that the cheese goes all the way to the edge of the crust… It sure did. Amazingly oral orgasmic! Another winner is the price.
Chicken Carbonara Pasta
I opted for the regular tin bowl rather than a bread bowl. The penne pasta was cooked just slightly past al dente, and was done in a light cream sauce mixed with cooked white onions, fresh mushrooms, grilled chicken strips, and smoky bacon bits. Pretty damn tasty for a “fast” pizza joint. Small portion size for the price as the bowl wasn’t even half filled.
SERVICE:
The male delivery guy was friendly. Later in the day when I went in to grab more food, the male cashier was friendly and gave quick service. The reprinting of my online order receipt was easy; he just needed my order number and out it came. They’re brand new and still getting used to things but I was very impressed with their composure.
TIP:
Pizza customization is high here. You can opt for crust texture, topping amounts, sauces, half of this, whole of that…
OVERALL:
Thank you for giving us deprived Mauians a choice in pizza! For a chain, it’s damn good!

I ordered online for pizza with chicken and tomatoes and paid for extra sauce, spinach and garlic plus a small tip even if I did in store pick up. I guess I didn’t realize that their “normal” amount for toppings is my “minimal,” so when I paid for extra, I got barely “normal,” in my opinion. Only a few pieces of spinach and only on one slice I could see and taste garlic. It’s too bad their pizza toppings aren’t quite up to par because the pizza was tasty and the workers are very friendly and efficient and my order was ready pretty quickly. Another issue that we’ve had when ordering the gluten free crust was that sometimes it would be overcooked, causing it to look more burnt and harder to bite into. I’ve noticed this several times before. Not sure if the lack of gluten causes it to bake and burn faster.

Tonight we ordered a couple of pizzas and “Heather” prepared it. Excellent job! We ordered “extra sauce” on both pizzas and she added the PERFECT amount. Way to go!

Poor service. husband asked what 3 toppings can I get for $10.99 special they said cheese, pepperoni and any other topping you want. since when Is cheese
a topping unless you order extra. So He ordered cheese, pepperoni, and sausage.. ok according to guy that is 3 toppings he said what on the other pizza? he said make it the same that’s easy enough.. Get pizza home it’s a cheese and sausage pizza barely any sausage some pieces no sausage.
Call ask for a manager the young girl says why? Really, just put him on..
I say pizzas ordered were wrong explain what happened, He says oh I didn’t hear him say pepperoni and he said cheese So I put it as an extra topping.. I’m like well the pizzas are not what was order it’s not even a 3 topping and hardly any toppings.. He says I can remake it. I said no I’m not coming back down there, he said I can give you a pizza credit. I said ya for both, He says well that’s not fair… Um ya it is he paid for 2 wrong pizzas… He said ok to make it easier on me and you I put you down for 2 pizzas…

I don’t think Domino’s has the tastiest pizza or the best price, but everything else makes up for it. Their pizza box is well designed, the interior of the restaurant is unique and well-kept, and their website is intuitive. Their pizza is good, their prices are reasonable, and the only real downside I can mention is that the dine-in area of the restaurant is on the small side.
Of course, most people won’t care since they’ll be ordering delivery, but for someone like me who finds the biggest value in eating at a restaurant being getting out of the house to eat, this is a considerable point even for delivery joints. That being said, it doesn’t seem to get very busy inside because people are mostly ordering delivery so it’s not as big of a deal.
All in all, presentation is great, atmosphere is great, and the food value is satisfactory. There isn’t much competition for pizza in this price range, but Domino’s is certainly my first choice among the limited market competition.

I order online I didn’t know if my order went through or not so I called the store. They said they had my order two hours later I called. They verified the address. It was going to said it went out, but it never did. Then another manager called me a half an hour later telling me that they never had my order and I asked him. Why did they not tell me that in the first place he just argued with me and said I don’t have your order. I can’t do anything about it. This is very unprofessional three hours later I had to order from another pizza place because I had no food to eat. I ended up eating 10 o’clock at Night. I’m very disappointed in the service and the way that this was handled.

Just ordered the Brooklyn style crust and still haven’t found out if Brooklyn style is thinner than thin crust cos well,..very disappointed in a six piece large pizza that was very very thin!
