When I gave my name, the young, slender blonde employee walked around looking for my order, then looked in the oven, and then the tickets near the window. At this point, 7:04pm, he opened the window and said, “It hasn’t been put in the oven yet. It’ll be about 10 minutes.” I said, “I ordered it 30 minutes ago.” At this point, the employee got a bit sassy with me and offered an excuse, “It’s because there’s only two of us and we have other orders. I’m sorry, but it is going to be at least another 10 minutes!” He proceeded to say I could stay parked at the window, but if someone pulled up behind me, I would need to move.
My food was finally ready at 7:12pm (almost 40 minutes from when i ordered it). When the employee handed me my food, his tone was still sassy, “Thank you. Have a good night,” is all he said.
The food itself was made as I ordered it and tasted fine. But I am very disappointed in my experience with the staff and the time it took for my order to be completed. I’ve never experienced such a wait at any Domino’s, not to mention the rude tone from an employee for a mistake that was not mine to own. If my order was going to take 40 minutes, instead of the 12-17 indicated on the Domino’s tracking app, perhaps a courtesy call would have been in order.
I guess my mistake was assuming that something was wrong with the tracker app since it had not progressed at all in 30 minutes, as well as assuming all Domino’s are created equal. Probably will be going to a different store the next time I have a hankering for pizza.
I get out to go check on my order and the 3 pizzas are sitting there on the metal table waiting. Just waiting there. I am very disappointed because my entire family was at home, hungry and hadn’t eaten. Waiting for food when I was told 10-15 minutes. My ticket says order was ready at 9:32. I actually took the pizza in hand at 9:55pm!!!
This was unprofessional, poor communication and poor teamwork on the teams part for this store. It shouldn’t matter whether someone spending $150 dollars or $0.00, you should be willing to give the customer their pizza at the time you said you would! Be observant that they are waiting and bring it to their car when it was ordered through the pickup window!! Very disappointed!!
