The delivery driver and he says he is in my neighborhood but at unit 112 I tell him I’m in unit 122 he hung up in my face . Immediately I step outside to go to unit 112 which is about 3 units down from me! No one’s there I call up to dominoes on the customer service line let them know what’s going on they call the driver he say he on Hwy 75 already headed back I say the pizza hasn’t been delivered and I’ve already paid online. The guy even says he has no idea what the driver is doing. So i state well the pizza is gonna be cold and we both know this I’m gonna need a refund he say we probably can I say no probably I’ve been calling to inform you of what was going on and I ordered the pizza over an hour ago! Let me speak to a manager. I can literally hear the manager (Calvin) in the background saying what does she want we have the guy turning back around I’m not talking to her, so I tell him to put him on the phone cuz I can hear him he gets on the phone and yells what??… I let him know I hear everything he said he says “ok and?”and I’m like that I would like the situation to be rectified he says I got the guy turning around. But at this point I don’t want the cold pizza or to deal with any of it anymore. After going back and forth he finally says he can cancel my order and does it and hangs up. Totally ruined my first experience with this dominoes and I will not order ever again and make sure I tell anyone and everyone I know about this horrible experience and not to order from here as welll!! Please do better with your employees
TLDR: Overall, the chicken wasn’t chicken (I mistook it for feta), and they don’t know what extra means. The crust seasoning also fell short which is sad since it’s my favorite thing about Domino’s, other than their thin crust option of course.
To begin, they gave me a hand tossed pizza instead of thin crust. That basically made pizza #1 (#2 on receipt) inedible in our eyes. To their credit, this is the one pizza that actually had some of the extras that I added. However, they went overboard. I’d normally be overjoyed, but the veggies were more or less raw and the pizza was already unappealing to start. The chicken crumbles underneath became soggy as a result and it looked like baby vomit. As if the pizza wasn’t already gross enough before that!? The cherry on top? While choking down this pizza (because I don’t believe in wasting food) I ate a misplaced piece of pineapple and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back! I threw up. It was even worse the second time!
Pizza #2 (#1 on receipt) was just an overwhelming disappointment rather than a hazard. Ever had a BBQ chicken pizza w/o the BBQ?.. Or chicken? Or onions?… Yeahhh, wouldn’t reccomend! Of course, this one was also supposed to have extra chicken and onions, but alas.. It was pretty much cheddar cheese and bread. There was the occasional onion skin (meaning the outer part of the onion that you’re supposed to remove), and the even more occasional onion, and a few chicken morsels here and there. There was SOME lines of BBQ on a few pieces, but it was overall pretty awful and hard to choke down as well.
Pizza #3 was an experiment, so I’m glad that they didn’t mess it up too bad. It was honestly divine, but I’m very disappointed with the amount of meat and veggies that were included considering that there was supposed to be extra everything. They definitely did give the extra sauce though. I’m eternally grateful for that, because it would’ve been incredibly unsatisfactory otherwise. The amount of mushrooms was pretty reasonable as well, but they left much to be desired when it came to the spinach and chicken.
I’m pretty sad, but I’m used to getting jipped when I order extras at Domino’s. The real crux of the issue (and the only reason that I bothered writing a review) is the thin crust coming out as a hand tossed. That, and the weird sprinklings of chicken crumbles that we all know should be cubes/rectangular prisms. The BBQ missing from the BBQ chicken pizza was also quite a shock and disappointment though.
Update: I found pineapple on pizza #3 as well, and I just KEEP biting into onion skins. I’d say that’s the worst part at this point!
Round 2: Happened again today, the guy in store says they don’t have control over the dominos app to give correct time estimate.
