Edit: 12:50 and it finally showed up. It sat around so long the pizza was cold and dry.
I’m asking for a refund when they open.
Better of going to the super pollo next door
I was concerned about the place based on the reviews. But, I used the app to place my order and picked it up rather than getting it delivered. Everything was solid.
So, I can’t speak to the delivery service. But the place is good.
No remade pizza as of 4:45 pm. Called again. It was made but sitting for an hour. I demanded a refund but only a manager can offer a refund. I was told to call back the next day. This is completely unacceptable. Believe the negative reviews.
We have ordered pizza from this location 4-5 times in the past year or so, as it is the closest location to several friends of mine I visit often who live in this neighborhood of Arlington. Not ONCE have they been able to get our order correct on the first try. And these are not complicated orders — just their typical “two or more two-topping pizzas” deal, ordered through the app or website in order to preclude any potential confusion or language barrier that might otherwise result from ordering over the phone or in person. On this most recent attempt, we had ordered one sausage and pepperoni pizza, and one double black olive pizza. The delivery driver, who seemed to have an incredibly hard time locating our address, and who somehow marked himself as “arrived” on the app while he continued to aimlessly circle the small block of our clearly marked quadplex building for another ten+ minutes as we stood in both the front and back doors of the building looking out for him and waiting to flag him down, finally dropped off what I can only presume were two of somebody else’s pizzas, once we took them inside and opened the boxes — a pepperoni pizza, and a jalapeno mushroom pizza. Lamenting the money now wasted on paying their delivery fee and tip, and knowing from past experience that phoning in about the problem would just result in being given a shirking run-around and even more wasted time, we walked the incorrect pizzas back to the shop in person to show them that they didn’t match what we bought and paid for, and while the young woman working the counter was apologetic and offered to re-make us the proper pizzas, we had to sit there another 15+ minutes as the store was shutting down late at night only for them to get the toppings wrong *yet again* and skimp us on the double black olive pizza giving us an absolutely pathetic one that had maybe 1-2 olives on any given slice (far less than what should be there just for a normal amount of one topping, let alone “extra” or double), as if they only had a few scant olives left at the bottom of the toppings bin and were too lazy to simply open another can of olives to make the pizza for us correctly as per our order, after having wasted at this point over an hour of our time and costing us a delivery fee and tip (which they of course did not offer to refund) that were completely pointless because we were forced to walk to the location ourselves and sit their waiting to get our pizza anyways.
It really boggles the mind how Domino’s corporate would tolerate a location or franchisee like this constantly messing up so badly for so many customers for YEARS on end at this point with no apparent improvement, to the point of having just 2 out of 5 stars on Google Reviews, in a densely populated city like Arlington serving so many repeat customers, without someone stepping in to provide mandatory retraining or making some kind of intervention for quality assurance.
Even if Domino’s is your go-to brand for delivery pizza, I would say that if you’re in this location’s delivery area, just skip it and don’t waste your time or money. Order from Pizza Hut or Papa John’s or one of the local joints that does pizza delivery.
