On Christmas Eve, when stress levels are high, businesses are packed, and most people are just trying to make it through their shift, I experienced something truly rare: genuine humanity. This review is dedicated to John, the General Manager at Domino’s Pizza, who went far above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect — and turned a stressful situation into something I’ll never forget.

I had stopped by Domino’s to pick up a carry-out pizza, excited to grab my food and head home. What should have been a simple stop turned into a nightmare when I realized I had accidentally locked myself out of my car. No spare key. Phone in hand. Christmas Eve. Cold. Frustrating. And to make it worse, the store was extremely busy. Orders were flying, phones were ringing, customers were lined up — the exact moment when most people would understandably say, “I’m sorry, I can’t help right now.”

But John didn’t do that.

Instead of brushing me off or treating me like an inconvenience, John treated me with patience, dignity, and respect. From the moment I explained my situation, he genuinely listened. You could tell he cared — not just as a manager, but as a human being who understood how overwhelming and helpless it feels to be stuck like that.

Despite the chaos of Christmas Eve, John made time for me. He calmly assessed the situation and then did something I never expected: he gathered tools, explained everything clearly, and empowered me to get back into my car safely. He didn’t rush me. He didn’t make me feel foolish. He didn’t act annoyed. Instead, he encouraged me and reassured me the entire time.

Within 30 minutes, using the tools and guidance John provided, I was able to unlock my car successfully. What could have easily ruined my night turned into what I can only describe as a small miracle. And that miracle came from kindness — not obligation.

What stood out the most is how rare this kind of service is today. So often, people respond with indifference, excuses, or outright nonsense when something isn’t part of their job description. John did the opposite. He stepped up. He cared. He treated me like a person who mattered, not just another customer passing through.

And on top of all that — the pizza was still hot and tasted phenomenal. Even while helping me through a personal emergency, John never let the quality of service or food slip. That level of leadership sets the tone for an entire team, and it shows.

John represents everything customer service should be: compassion, professionalism, patience, and integrity. Domino’s is lucky to have a general manager like him. Experiences like this are the reason customers remember a place — not just for the food, but for how they were treated when it mattered most.

Ordered online, they’ve been to this address before and i told them just in case to bring it to the house with the hot tub on the front porch in the note attached to the order. I waited until it said the order was complete, gave it a little just in case it was a bug and then called. They said the driver tried calling but my phone hadn’t rung at all, but why wouldn’t they knock first? I asked this on the phone and they said because they tried calling beforehand. I said well i left on the note to come to the house with the hot tub on the porch to which they snarkily replied “I don’t think my driver was snooping on peoples porches” they then said they brought my order back to the store and it would be appreciated if i came and got it, but i have no vehicle so i just told them to cancel it. Genuinely outrageous that they wouldn’t knock before anything, i have 2 dogs that would’ve gone nuts had they knocked.

I stopped there to get a pizza for my son that had 6 toppings on it. The employee explained the best way to order it on the app to save money. The store looked clean. There was ample parking and fast service. I picked it up. My son liked it. I would go there again even though Fominos isn’t my thing.

Placed the order at 5:22pm for delivery at 7:30pm. At 7:10pm the tracker showed as being quality checked and 45 minutes later it finally left the store. My house is less than 5 minutes from the restaurant. Tracking showed an ETA of 8:25 when I call the store at 7:55 to ask about our food. My concerns were brushed off by the person who answered the phone and I was told the tracking was wrong and it would arrive in the next 5 minutes. At 8:20 we have finally received our order. All the food is cold and needed to be reheated. The loaded tots were a soggy, congealed lump and half of the pasta was dried out and hard even after reheating. If I’d been contacted in any way to let me know that there was an issue, I would have been understanding. What has made me so angry this time, is that it is obvious that the food had been sitting around for nearly an hour before it was put in the driver’s car for another 25 minutes. So frustrating!

Generally good, has only messed up a few times. Keep up the good work and 4 stars was my first review. This is updated as of 10/8/24… Just keeps getting worse and worse. Pay for extra sauces and drinks and then never received the items. Is almost always late, wrong, and cold anymore. Then have to wait an additional hour to receive what we ordered and there is still a problem . There is ALWAYS an issue at this point! Get your stuff together!!! We will not be ordering anymore. Just ridiculous at this point.
