Dominique’s in Stonecrest – A Delicious Experience with a Disappointing Aftertaste

I had the pleasure of dining at Dominique’s today, and I must say—the food was absolutely excellent! Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Angela, thank you for your warm hospitality and for making my first visit so memorable. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance was inviting.

However, I’m following up just an hour later with a heavy heart. While the dining experience itself was wonderful, I was disheartened to learn that several cars, including mine, were broken into during our meal. It’s incredibly disappointing to enjoy such a great restaurant only to walk out and find your vehicle violated.

I strongly urge management to take immediate steps to improve parking lot security. Cameras are only effective if they’re actively monitored or serve as a deterrent. Guests should feel safe not only inside the restaurant but also when they return to their vehicles.

I truly hope this issue is addressed swiftly, as Dominique’s has so much potential. I’d love to return—but only if I can do so with peace of mind.

This was probably the worst dining experience I have had in a long time.

I put in a reservation 3 weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day. Once we arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation, we were informed that they had a 30-minute wait for reservations. So we arrived at 5:40 p.m. And got seated at 6:30 p.m. when we had a 6:00 p.m. reservation.

We went to the bar and ordered drinks in the meantime and they were pouring heavy which was nice since everyone was apparently 30 minutes behind on all reservations.

Once we got to our table we ended up putting in our order immediately because we had all the time in the world to look over the menu. I ordered the surf and turf filet mignon with lobster tail medium-medium rare. My wife ordered the ribeye steak rare.

While we waited for our food, we had a jumbo shrimp appetizer which was really good.

The issue was that we watched people come in after us who got seated after us who got their food before us.

The ambiance was nice. But they didn’t seem exceptionally busy. If anything, they just seemed like they had a normal full night. There was not an exceptionally long line or anything of people waiting. They had plenty of staff on hand. We were told that the weight was due to the fact they were busy. But nothing else. So I have no idea if it was a lack of cooks or what, but the wait time was so long.

We finally got our food at 7:55 p.m. And my wife’s steak was cooked too long and it was cooked medium and not rare.

We told them we didn’t want to send it back if it was going to take super long for it to be redone and we believe that’s the only reason it came out so fast.

This was supposed to be a romantic night out but it ended up just making us both really frustrated and annoyed. We chose a locally owned restaurant we had never been to. But with how the experience was, we could have gotten a better experience at Olive garden which is really depressing to say.

The one highlight, was our server Di’el as she was quite attentive and apologetic. But management never stopped by our table to provide an answer as to why our reservation didn’t matter and we had to wait 30 minutes. No apology for the meal being cooked wrong.

We did not order a dessert given that the rest of the meal and experience went so poorly. I don’t think we would ever go back.

Uno is the very best in customer service. This young man loves his job and people. He understands what each customer is needing before they can even ask. He knows how to pair food items with drinks and how to make honest suggestions.

He is truly an avid professional in this service. He makes this restaurant experience worth the drive it took to get here. With his super friendly personality it felt like going home. He is so well informed about this restaurant and the menu. And his recommendations were spot on.

I went to the restaurant last night for my birthday. My food was absolutely amazing! First I had a Salmon Caesar Salad. I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium rare and it was spot on!! For my entree, I had the Broiled Seafood Trio. Again, all of the fish was cooked perfectly and so was the broccolini. I didn’t eat much of my mashed potatoes because I’d eaten about 20 oz of fish. My only drawback was that the fish wasn’t seasoned or seasoned enough. I loved the atmosphere and my server was so sweet and friendly. I was even more happy to be there because it is a black owned business. That meant the world to me that my significant other could have chosen to take me anywhere and he chose a black owned business. I will be back again! Thank you to everyone for my experience last night. I really had a good time and I wanted you all to know!!!

I loved the food. I ordered t-bone with mash and broccoli . My friend had the Rasta pasta with chicken. Which he said was very good. We enjoyed the music. Our server was fantastic. We were greeted warmly upon entering. Everyone seemed very friendly

My friend and I visited Dominique’s on Saturday, January 3, just after midday. I treated her as an early birthday celebration. We originally both wanted bagels with smoked salmon, but our waitress let us know they were out of smoked salmon and BBQ shrimp.

I ordered the BBQ burger with fries and a lemonade, and my friend had the chicken and waffles with coffee. We both really enjoyed our meals — everything was flavorful and satisfying.

Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, and the prices were affordable. Overall, it was a nice experience, and we would definitely return.

Mr. Uno was attentive and prompt. I loved his reviews of the lemon drop and the way he helped me decide on adding mushrooms and onions to my steak cuz if imma do it… imma do it! My first time here and I will be back. My ribeye was PERFECTLY cooked, my asparagus was on point and my loaded baked potato was just that…. LOADED! And let me not forget the star of the show…. The bread! I love sourdough and I ate the whole basket!

Dominque’s was absolutely delightful! The atmosphere is beautiful and food was delicious. Our server Natasha was extremely attentive to detail, made great recommendations, and ensured we enjoyed our time. We traveled here from an hour away and I’m so glad we did!! 10 out of 10!!!

My mom took me to Dominique’s for a birthday lunch and it was amazing!! When we walked through the door we were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. I ordered onion rings and the snapper sandwich; my mom ordered the shrimp and grits. All I can say is DELICIOUS! Nyi, our server was great. When you go, ask for her. You will not be disappointed with the food nor service!
