Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!”
They’re matcha cake was great also the place was clean and atmosphere well balanced and chill
Recommendations:
DOMA DUPBAP with beef, sweet soy sauce goes well with the rice, and it’s a solid pick if you’re new to Korean food, wants something not too exotic.
⭐️Dolsot bibimbap with spicy pork, this is “really” authentic. No need to trek to DC as this one is better. The meat was already seasoned perfectly, so I’d say hold off on dumping all the extra sauce on it right away. Taste it first.
We have previously had their japchae and bibimbap and it was delicious as well!
I have yet to try something unpleasant from Doma’s.
I was able to try the Korean BBQ plate with 3 different meats: beef (10/10), spicy chicken (9/10), and pork belly (11/10). They smacked so hard!!! Also, their pickled vegetables were amazing and so nice in addition to the meat and rice (cooked perfectly by the way). And their spicy kimchi was great as well, definitely carrying a kick of heat. I also got to try their wings…perfection!
I’d highly recommend this place! The pricing was fair too for what you are getting, not cheap, but also it’s not a cheap dish. I’d say get the beef bbq plate if your afraid of being adventurous, it’s great and was loved by everyone at our table. If ya want a bolder flavor tho, the pork belly is where it’s at!
P.S. the bathrooms were nice and clean too!
The homemade sodas were good and taste like whatever flavor you get, but you will need to make sure to mix it well and keep the straw from bottom or you’ll just get syrup. Both appetizers were flavorful, but if you don’t like spice, I wouldn’t get the Honey Sriracha because we found it spicier than the Korean Hot flavor. The Doma had a sweet sauce, good grill on chicken, and the noodles were filling.
Overall, our waitress was attentive but not overbearing and we were pleased with our meal. I recommend giving it a try if you’re in Charlottesville!
