The food is amazing!! Not a single disappointing bite lol. Started off with the scallops with bacon and pork belly and main dish was pistachio crusted salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Let’s just say I didn’t send anything back or take anything home. Will definitely be back!!

Great casual place. Good food and friendly people. Great location right on the ocean. Outdoor space for dining in the good weather. Nice specials that expand the menu. Mike the owner works hard to make it a nice experience for all. Pictured is a special item of pork chop with potato and stuffing. It was delicious. This place is not fancy but it is a great place to go and have fun with the friendly people and staff and enjoy good food

The food was excellent. The sea food was fresh and delicious. The bartender, who was also one server, was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and made great suggestions and great cocktails! We sat at the high top tables in the bar area, and the atmosphere was good. The only negative was the hostess, who was rude, dismissive, and a bit nasty. We turned to leave after trying to talk to her. Thank goodness the bartender stopped us and encouraged us to eat at the high tops.

I went here on 8/25 with 7 people, and I got the french onion soup, which was by far the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. My aunt she enjoyed what she got, but they messed up a little on her order. And it was way too loud to the point that my family couldn’t hear what we’re saying. My mom loved what she got. I still would come here again. I would also recommend the french onion soup

… gathered family and friends for a double birthday celebration .. nice enough atmosphere .. wait staff was very pleasant and the conversation was great! .. mixed reactions to the food .. any entre needs to be constructed with fresh ingredients.. the fish portions were quite small, my fried oysters were terrible .. plated on top of re-heated fries and slaw served in a thimble .. unless you’re thirsty for an adult beverage there’s no reason to try anything on the menu … there are better choices and likely better outcomes elsewhere ..

This is a must if you visit the town of Barnstable in Cape Cod. Be ready to pay the price for good food (not extravagant – but more than most family restaurants – well worth the cost). The service is excellent, the food was amazing both times I have visited. Definitely worth every penny. This is such a lovely place to eat and relax.

Reputation for quality is well deserved. I was born and raised in a seafood Mecca and I was impressed enough to go back twice in the same week. Crumb crusted scrod, baked scallops and steak entrees were all wonderful. Calamari was excellent. Buffalo cauliflower was good and not too spicy. We enjoyed the key lime pie with strawberry ice cream and mudpie for dessert and can recommend both. Service was prompt, warm and efficient. I will be making the Dolphin Restaurant a family tradition. Thanks!

Had a lovely dinner here with family for my mom’s birthday. The food was excellent. There is a coziness to the place that is almost unmatched but they have excellent fresh fish too.

This place strikes me as one that’s living off of past glory and neighborhood nostalgia. The oysters were one of the worst I’ve ever had. Small and dry. Wine selection was poor, Sole was tasteless, fried seafood app was like something you get at Applebee’s. Long wait time. 15 min or so after we sat down till we were actually able to order and roughly another 15 to get our wine. I would recommend dining elsewhere esp for the price.

Good soups and haddock. Overall, every restaurant in Cape Cod and the Canadian Maritimes offers too many fried and battered options and so few grilled or sautéed dishes. But I guess that’s what the patrons want. A few more choices for wines by the glass would be nice.
