Food and atmosphere were fine. Got a caperse sandwich 20 bucks the cook starts making it no hand washing then rubs his nose on his wrists. Got my sandwich and the arugula was spoiled. Called 4 times to try and resolve it and get a refund, to no avail. I then left a review with a photo of clearly old and decaying arugula. Then after seeing my review the owner decided to call me and scream at me. I was told the bitter taste was from balsamic then asked if I even knew what arugula was. Seriously stay away so so rude.

After living in Italy this bakery is such a gem! Walking in we were greeted by what seemed to be a family who run the store. A young lady helped us at the counter and told us how they import all ingredients from Italy which reflected in the prices(understandable due to the tariffs). Then an older man made our latte and americano. The pastries and the coffee were delicious and brought me back to the cobbled streets of Rome. What a lucky surprise to find this place and be reminded of good memories.

Super delicious! I just got a cannoli and latte this time, but both were really good. They both tasted authentic and delicious. It reminded me so much of my time in Italy, and when the owner said she imports her ingredients from Italy I believe it. I really want to come back and try the rest of the baked goods, sandwiches, or pasta!

During a walk, i stopped in for coffee and a crossant. Walking in the grandad was assembling boxes for pastries and grandma was sitting doing the books. The main pastry chef, was the husband and the boss was the wife. I loved the whole Italian cafe atmosphere. There was the music of the Italian language being passed around by the family, next to the music background. I had the regular coffee and a chocolate croissant, which was fresh and slightly crunchy and soft and smooth inside with a chocolate layer top off the entire experience. This is a small bakery, but has a wide variety of breads and sweet pastries. I am sure you could ask them to make any pastry or bread. This is definitely a small family owned and operated cafe and bakery. You must give it a try or you will miss out. If you found this critique helpful tap the thumbs up please.

The desserts truly authentic and are absolutely delightful. The delizia al limone/ lemon treat has a wonderfully smooth fluffiness in the center, balancing the fresh tanginess of the lemon on the outside.( it’s not overpoweringly sweet like American pastries) The elderberry pastry offers a delightful tartness, complemented by a subtle sweetness in the jam filling, while its crunchy exterior enhances the overall experience. Great service! Small family owned business If you have the opportunity to stop by – you must!

Fantastic bakery. A must stop over. Perfectly baked sweet Italian treats. The owner is lovely, and the shop is pristine, very clean, and inviting. The baked goods are light, not to sweet, and taste delicious. The owner uses imported Italian ingredients and baked using honey and maple not to over sweetnen the taste. A perfect treat for any day of the week. Support this small business!!!

Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don’t come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It’s amazing and the quality is there! I’ve been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it’s an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it’s on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can’t get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.

WOW! Monica has created a true GEM in San Diego county…. we wanted to share with our foodie friends as they love true Italian pastries and bread as much as we do. Oh yes, do not forget the gelato! Also, the espresso is how only 1 out of maybe 10 bakeries and coffee places serve them…. creamy, NOT bitter and bold in flavor. That alone will make me want to come back again and again. Service? Oh man, just “personal” does not cover it, if you’d want to spend a bit of time, you’ll get to know the hostess and her story on how the bakery came to fruition. Well worth it. The place itself is cozy and the food gets all the glory as it’s all fully displayed. For anyone that wants to see how a proper bakery is set up, go have a look here. 10/10.

Truly a local gem! They make everything in-house, and the quality reflects that!

I had The Vesuvio in Ciabatta, and it was honestly the best sandwich I’ve had in a while. The ciabatta bread was the best I’ve ever had, the prosciutto was great, and their homemade mozzarella really shined through – you really can’t match amazing homemade mozzarella. The tender sweetness just goes super well with the saltiness of the prosciutto as well as the texture of the arugula.

What I also particularly enjoyed was the homey atmosphere of this place. There’s just an unmatched level of warmness and friendliness coming from this Italian family run business. Everyone was so friendly here – big smiles, friendly chats and great service. All of this made the food taste even better!

I’ll definitely come by again next time I’m in the area. There’s so much more I want to try!
