The food itself was very nice, I actually like their Pad Thai. It’s not slimy or smelly like most restaurants but tastes like real home cooked Thai dishes.

A word of warning: I was feeling bold and told the server to make my dish as spicy as they make it and I had legit pain eating the food haha! Stay with the more mild versions of the dishes

This place is always amazing with wonderful food. I know when mamma and papa are cooking it’s just makes the food taste that much better. I got my Padwoonsen to go but couldnt wait to get it home and started eating it along the way. Thanks for the past 13 years of my coming there always having the best flavors and freshest of veggies!!!!

Absolutely love this place we go once a week or once every two weeks. The only place we ever pick up Thai food from. David is wonderful I’m getting things just the way you want it and making sure you’re happy. His parents are the ones that still cook in the restaurant which is absolutely wonderful too. It’s nice to see a restaurant that started out as a mom and pop restaurant make it and Thrive as well as it does but if you ever go in to eat you’ll know why it thrives.

Great, honest service and delicious food! On my first visit, I was going to order two dishes between two people and the server let us know it was going to be a lot of food and suggested that sharing one would be enough. The portion was huge and it was more than enough; that’s the kind of honest business I’ll be supporting! It’s now in my regular lunch rotation and haven’t been disappointed yet. Green and massaman curries highly recommended.

Hands down the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. First impressions were not that great. The waitress was rude and constantly on her phone between “helping” the 5 customer, including myself and my daughter. My daughter ordered Pad Thai, her favorite, and it wasn’t even almost edible. She took one bite and that was it. I took a bite and agreed, it was awful. When we let them know, they were not happy with us. The owner, who was watching tv with the volume turned up, sarcastically said “I guess it wasn’t American enough.” I can’t stress enough how gross the food, service and atmosphere was/is. I have no idea how this establishment has a 4 star rating.

Dok Koon has delicious food with good sized portions. I always have leftovers. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Vancouver. I love that it is owned by a family who always seem to be enjoying each other’s company in the front room. I highly recommend them. Their food tastes authentic and is better quality than other places in town. The red curry with that spongy fried tofu is my favorite!

This place is the best Thai food in Vancouver! What a treat! Not only was it delicious but the service was on point and very friendly! We had the thai shrimp salad wraps for an appetizer, and it was amazing! We also ordered cashew oysters and garlic chicken, which we ordered spicy (hot and extra hot) and they delivered! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

This is one of the best if not the best Thai Food establishments in the Portland/Vancouver area. If you haven’t been and you love Thai you owe it to yourself to go. The only thing I wish they did is a weekend lunch special menu like they have for weekdays. If you know of a better place after going please share.

Dok Koon Thai is a workplace favorite for us. We go often for lunch. The meals are good basic Thai but very reasonable too. The curries are the best food on the menu in my opinion. Serviings are a bit larger than I need but just take it with you! These folks are always prompt service and very nice. We go at least once a week. I’d give it a higher rating, say 3.5 if the system allowed.

This is in our neighborhood, and therefore we really wanted to give this place a chance. We have always gotten our food to go, so not sure about the service, but the food is not good. I got pad thai with no spice, and it has absolutely no flavor. It tasted mostly like bean sprouts and the lime that came with it than anything else. Noodles were very dry. My husband’s pad thai was also very dry, but had slightly more flavor than mine. 2 out of 3 times we have tried the food has been bad. Only once did we get food that was only OK. Never going back here.
