OMG. This was absolutely incredible. I don’t usually write reviews, but this was one of the best meals I have had in a while. The service was really great. There was a little bit of a problem with one of the dishes, but when we mentioned it they brought it out almost immediately and comped that dish. But honestly, even if the service was dreadful, I would still be recommending this restaurant. The flavors of all the dishes were all spot on and nothing I ate was boring or basic. The beef jerky, which was recommended to us by our waiter was incredible. My favorite dish of the night and I would absolutely say if you come here, it is an absolute must. I would say it could get a bit loud, but honestly we thought it added to the experience and was a lively atmosphere. Overall, this was a really incredible meal and I would absolutely say if you have the chance, come here! 🙂

Everything was fire! Went to dinner to celebrate a birthday. Everyone was so friendly and very excited that we were there to celebrate. All the food was phenomenal. The flavors are perfect as well as the seasoning. Can’t recommend enough.

While not from the DC area I was visiting family and this spot was recommended. We can in for lunch on a weekend and were quickly seated.

Amazing!! The ratatouille curry with the rice (I substituted lemongrass chicken) was to die for! The perfect blend of salty, citrus, sweet and a little kick. And a huge portion! A new favorite spot for me. They also have a dog friendly patio!

I love thé présentation of the dishes I ordered. I really loved the Banh Mi and the Thai Ice Tea with it. The pandan pancake was also really good too, but they should not really put food color in it. It was a lovely nice morning and experience overall.

Poor service. Also most of the food here is not Vietnamese food. No wonder some reviews here say this is good Thai! Mango sticky rice (not Vietnamese btw) had very raw and hard mango, and we had to cut the mango ourselves.

I rarely write five star reviews, but Doi Moi deserves it. If you have a choice between the ground level or heading downstairs, just know that the ground one is very loud and lively, while downstairs felt super intimate and had a really cool vibe I loved.

So, I’m Vegan and my isn’t. We switch back and forth so she can have the experience she enjoys.doi moi was incredible. The menu was very clearly marked for all food types. I had some delicious Vegan and my wife non plant-based. My favorite was the brussel sprouts. So many make sprouts with bacon grease, not here.

Definitely a white washed “Viet” restaurant….there was barely any POC, so that just tells you how it’ll taste off the bat The service was also lowkey slow (seemed like they were serving the non POC first and faster lol). The meat was very dry in every dish we got. The flavor was there, but it was really meh. The best thing there was the spring roll sauce lol. It was also superrrr overpriced for the quality of food presented. A “go once and don’t go again” kinda place Nah skip forreal and choose elsewhere

A solid neighborhood restaurant. The Vietnamese-ish food is not Eden Center good but it’s good for what it is. I enjoy the atmosphere and when I can snag one of the outdoor seats on the S Street side, I enjoy it even more.
