Was out kayaking with my father to celebrate father’s day at Findley lake. Was starving afterwards and was looking for a quick place to grab some lunch. A quick Google Maps search of places to eat, dog tracks diner popped up highly on the list with glowing reviews.
Parking was easy to find, with dedicated spaces for the diner. Walked in, was greeted and told we could sit wherever we liked. Sat down, the waitress brought the menus over and grabbed our drink order. The lunch menu was very solid with a decent variety of sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and salad options.
I ended up getting a chef’s salad with a side of French fries and my dad got the double Decker BLT with fries. The order came out quick and fresh. My dad was quite happy with his sandwich and my chef’s salad was very solid. Good blend of the lunch meats and the greens were fresh.
No dessert for us as we were full after our meal but the options sound good, we were fully prepared to order one when we had first set down.
Definitely a place we would visit again if we were in the area.

Stopped in Wellington bc my stomach said Eat. Glad I did! I had Holly as my waitress and I needed an upbeat personality at the end of this long day. She had one for sure. Much appreciated it.
Reviews here at Dog Tracks are well earned and accurate. Plenty of food and reasonable prices especially for the quality and taste. I had the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Came with four peaces of garlic toast, a salad (a big salad) and I chose carrots as my vegetable.
Everything was on point! Carrots soft and stayed warm through the meal, Meatballs were large and tasted good, and the sauce was plentiful and and quite good.
All in all, a very nice visit here in Wellington.

They are usually very busy and short staffed but they made us feel very welcomed and not rushed at all. We come here a few times a year when we are in the area and always leave satisfied. This trip we went two times back to back. The biscuits and gravy were good. Husband had the eggs Benedict and we shared our meals. It was yummy. Coffee was a bit lack luster but we still order it every time so it’s definitely not terrible. Oh! And order the rye toast

Me and my wife got our dinner and appetizers and my son was still waiting on a grilled cheese sandwich 15min after we were told 3x still waiting on the grilled cheese. Belly buster was just a cheeseburger with mayo. Where’s the special sauce at? The breaded mushrooms absolutely are the nastiest doughy breaded mushrooms I ever had in my life. The mushrooms are so big their absolutely size of lemons if not bigger, taste was absolutely horrible. Was not impressed at all. The burgers used to be way better than I remember a year or so go since the last time I was there. A frozen burger would’ve been better than what me and my wife were served.

Delicious food, wonderful service and extremely clean. Great little diner I wish I had visited sooner. Will become regular stop as long as it and I am around! Highly recommend.
Edit: Wow, things changed. I just don’t bother going here anymore. The owner decided to expand, and as soon as that decision was made, the service tanked. I really can’t tell you if the food was still good because we never got any. We sat in the little diner for over 20 minutes making eye contact with multiple employees and never got acknowledged or served. That was the second to last time we went. We figured as good as everything had been before, surely it was just a fluke and we could give the place another chance. Nope. Very similar experience, but we didn’t wait another 20 minutes, after about 10 we left. Plenty of other businesses around that are happy to take care of their customers.

My wife and I enjoyed the meal very much. She had liver and onions with baked potato. My wife said it was one of the best. I had catfish which was delicious. The staff was very helpful, the restaurant was clean. I would recommend to anyone. We will be stopping in the next we are in Wellington.
