I was here on Saturday January 31st 2026 in the later afternoon. I wish I could remember the awesome bartenders name. She was awesome super sweet and is one of the best bartenders I have had. The taco salad I ordered was very good. I would recommend visiting and have dinner and drinks. I will visit again for sure.

Over a 30 minute wait to get a table although we saw a number of empty tables so maybe it’s based on the number of wait staff they have. Waitress did a decent job in the beginning, but disappeared for a long time when you wanted another drink. They had a band that was enjoyable and the atmosphere was nice including the table that converts to a fireplace.

We go to the Dog Run Saloon for their pork tenderloin sandwich. It is the BEST one around and big enough to share. Our favorite bartender is Gail, she rocks! Taco Tuesday is our new favorite!

We ordered fish tacos but received beef & the kitchen was already closing down for the night so we were stuck with the beef tacos. They serve cod instead of tilapia like other places. They are known for their fish. They have pool tournaments on Tuesdays.

First time! Absolutely a great place to go and have Fish and Chips. Really good quality fish. The breading was to die for! Absolutely the best! The service was also excellent! The place has a fun atmosphere. Pool tables, good music and great Food! Truly a must go to place. We will be going back again and again!

The atmosphere is cool, but the service is actually pretty atrocious, and not really in a fun way. The food was actually decent fire a dive bar, but still a bit expensive.

Stopped in for a quick bite on the way home from Goldfield. The food was delicious They have daily specials and happy hour every day until 6pm. The patio is dog friendly but there is no server outside so you have to serve yourself.

I’ve been going to the dog run saloon for about 7 years now and it’s always been a love-hate relationship as far as the service and the food go. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a dive bar. There’s karaoke… love it …love my friends who go to karaoke…but the food lately is lacking. Fish fry used to be nice big pieces of fish now we got fish sticks and I do believe we’re either paying the same price or more. This is not a good thing and will turn into a very bad thing when the winter visitors get here. If the price goes lower when the winter visitors come that will be a slight to those of us who live here year-round and frequent the dog run saloon year round. I do believe we keep the place afloat during the summer. The wings that I asked to be well done and crispy with the side of blue cheese were not well done and crispy. I received two other sauces besides the blue cheese ..not sure why. All of the sauces were very good, especially the chipotle. I share the same feelings as others who have expressed inconsistencies with the service. It is not just one bartender or another. My favorite bartender is Jennifer because her personality is so upbeat and she remembers what I drink. She always gets me my drink as soon as I arrive even before I ask most times. Instead of putting this review I would have preferred to be able to get in touch with the new owners by phone or email but I didn’t see any email on the website and the phone always rings no answer. Actually been thinking of finding a different place to hang out because there are several new places opening soon.

Total hole in the wall/dive bar but I don’t know that I even feel nice about seeing that. I love this place and they have four pool tables the only four pool tables I’m aware of in Apache Junction. The bartenders are sassy the drinks are heavy and the prices are more than fair. Don’t get me started on the food everything on the menu is incredible their steak dinner deal is better than anywhere else in the valley for the portion and quality you get the pounded pork sandwich is the size of a small pizza it’s incredible. Don’t expect anything fancy here this is a real bar. They do have a jukebox if you’re willing to pay for the music sometimes if you ask the bartenders will give you a few free coins. They have an outside smoking area, it’s in a very unsuspecting little Plaza on the side of the road if you blink you’ll miss it. Definitely try this please
