After not going to this location in over 6 years, I am glad I went back! The food tasted the same it did back in the 1990s through 2010. The root beer now tastes perfect! In the past their root beer tasted like syrup. They did a great job in improving the product back to the brand they were a couple decades ago!

I needed a taste of nostalgia so I traveled 1-1/2 hours to experience it. I had a couple chili dogs, fries, and a mug of root beer. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The fries were hot and crispy with a coating but not too heavy. The dogs were presented very neatly in paper trays not all squinched up in a paper wrapper. The sauce tasted more tomato-ey than I’m used to but I liked it. The dogs were actually as long as the buns. Very good! The root beer was served in a frosty mug. Very flavorful. I wish the mug was a bit larger.

Really liked this little place. Super cheap. Great and fast service. Jalapeño poppers and burger were highlights. Fries super crispy. Four stars cause I think the mac n cheese is just noodles and nacho cheese. Wouldn’t order that again but would come back for other stuff on the menu

Can’t go wrong with an ice cold root beer. Chili dog had onions if you wanted it to and the Texas Burger actually is the next thing I’m going to get while I bring the Mustang up there. Why because it’s got that old-school 50s feel with the hot rods that you pull up get food at the window and they bring the tray to you like how it used to be. Cool hang out place for hot rods and car people. Beats sonic any day.

Iv been coming to dogs n suds for 20+ years. It’s amazing that I could take my little one to something that I enjoyed so much growing up. But the menu is becoming a little bit disappointing they no longer have the veggie basket. Which was honestly one of my only reasons for this side to the root beer floats. And the pricing of food there has became a lot more expensive. To feed two adults and one child cost $52. And that’s for two burgers and a grilled cheese with sides. I honestly don’t know if I will be going back due to the pricing and do to them not having the veggie baskets no more. I do know the previous owner did pass away and is now taken on by relatives. But the food was so much better and so was the pricing before the previous owners passed. The staff there was polite and fast at service. You have to ask for tomato and lettuce on your $8 to $9 Burger. They do not come with it. And they also put no sauce on the burgers. I honestly feel like if they were to go back to the original pricing of the menu and the original menu they would be getting a lot more service. But $52 to feed three people is outrageous

We drive in from Cleveland a few times a season to relive our childhood. Good food (favorites are Coney Dogs and Pork Tenderloin Sandwich) and root beer. Great customer service (every person taking care of us has been wonderful). Great atmosphere (we like sitting at the picnic tables, but car service with clip on trays is available).

The food is really good and super nostalgic. I feel as though you pay for your experience. The portions are pretty small and very pricey. For example, you pay $4 for 5 mini corndogs. I got fried cauliflower, (as good as I remember it when I was a kid), but did not ask for any dipping sauce. After we paid, (which you do right when you get your food), I asked for ranch for my cauliflower, and I was told I’d be charged an extra dollar for it. After paying our $55 bill, I didn’t want the inconvenience of paying a dollar when I had no cash. It was a little disappointing. The food was great though, and it was fun to return to one of my favorite places to eat as a child.

The best Root beer float around! This time I tried the Texas burger and fried mushrooms and have to say it was a mixture of delight. Will definitely go back before they close for the season.

Reminds you of the old A & W stand s that most towns had. The prices are affordable. The food quality is very good. The service is awesome. These girls are attentive and know what they are doing! And they do it with a positive attitude. When you pull in, you are greeted and they are patient, not pushy on ordering. Many other restaurants could learn something from them about customer service. Worth the drive. In north Elyria, very close to state RT 2.
