This old fashioned car hop and root beer stand is just the best. If you are looking for nostalgia this is where to go. The root beer is fantastic and you can get a gallon jug to take home. All your typical foods are served here, hot dogs, coney’s, fries. The fried cauliflower was very good. Footlong hot dogs are so fun and nostalgic.

Had a delicious meal here for the first time with my wife. We missed lunch today, so we loaded up with a coney, bacons double cheeseburger. Some shrimp, fries, onion rings and fried banana peppers. Oh and mugs of root beer and Pepsi. So good! We will definitely be back. Service was great too – so nice and efficient.

Since Dog n Suds has opened for the season we’ve been there at least once a week so far. It’s one of our favorite places to come for lunch. We love the old fashioned vibe and the food though simple, is AMAZING. My go to is a coney dog and a sloppy joe (with mustard per the recommendation of one of the super nice waitresses) which brings me to my next point which is the waitresses …they are SO friendly and nice …it’s honestly always a great experience..going there is one of my summertime guilty pleasures…Honestly there aren’t too many local little restaurants that offer a quick, hassle-free, reasonably priced meal but Dog n’ Suds definitely does! We love bringing our daughter also, she loves chicken nuggets and fries! And my husband orders the char burger which is sooooo good. BEST waitresses, BEST food and BEST service.

Can’t go wrong with an ice cold root beer. Chili dog had onions if you wanted it to and the Texas Burger actually is the next thing I’m going to get while I bring the Mustang up there. Why because it’s got that old-school 50s feel with the hot rods that you pull up get food at the window and they bring the tray to you like how it used to be. Cool hang out place for hot rods and car people. Beats sonic any day.

After not going to this location in over 6 years, I am glad I went back! The food tasted the same it did back in the 1990s through 2010. The root beer now tastes perfect! In the past their root beer tasted like syrup. They did a great job in improving the product back to the brand they were a couple decades ago!

The footlong coney’s were very good and the root beer was delicious as always.
The server only gave us 3 napkins for 2 footlong coneys…not enough!
She never came back to see if we needed anything, not even when I put my flashers on as instructed.
Didn’t even get a refill on our favorite beverage.
Very disappointing overall.
Been enjoying this place since I was 12 (47 years) and this was my least favorite experience here.

I needed a taste of nostalgia so I traveled 1-1/2 hours to experience it. I had a couple chili dogs, fries, and a mug of root beer. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The fries were hot and crispy with a coating but not too heavy. The dogs were presented very neatly in paper trays not all squinched up in a paper wrapper. The sauce tasted more tomato-ey than I’m used to but I liked it. The dogs were actually as long as the buns. Very good! The root beer was served in a frosty mug. Very flavorful. I wish the mug was a bit larger.
I only wish it was closer, but it was very good!

Really liked this little place. Super cheap. Great and fast service. Jalapeño poppers and burger were highlights. Fries super crispy. Four stars cause I think the mac n cheese is just noodles and nacho cheese. Wouldn’t order that again but would come back for other stuff on the menu

Dog n’ Suds is a old fashion throw back to the traditional car side eating experience. It is very much a guilty pleasure dining experience. You won’t find a top 5 best burger you’ve ever eaten, but you will find a consistent meal at a very reasonable price. I had the Texas Burger. It has a blend of two unique sauces almost as if you combined special sauce and Coney sauce on two separate patties. The fries were thick with a potatoey center. The real star however was the Root Beer. Served in a frozen glass mug, the root beer was smooth with a creamy vanilla after taste. I also appreciated the owner stepping outside to interact with the kids. She was a sweetheart for taking some time to do that. I will be back to try other items from the menu, particularly the footling Coney dog, and to sample another mug of root beer.
