Excellent off the beaten path family restaurant. My coworker and I visited here twice while on a business trip in Little Rock. I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the steak we ordered. I had never seen where 2 people can order a steak to share and where they can serve it at 2 different temperatures. I preferred medium well and my coworker preferred medium rare. We ordered the 2.5-3 pound Porterhouse on the 2 occasions we visited and both times, it was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent on both occasions and there was such a warm and welcoming environment. Included with the steak is Salad, Texas Toast, French Fries and boiled potatoes. They also have great appetizers and desserts.

Hailed as one of the best steaks around… I’ve put off going because a decent number of friends have told me it’s over rated. Short story, it’s the real deal. If you like a good hole in the wall, the ambiance is perfect. Service is great. The tamales are solid. The steak. There are many ways to do a steak. This steak is simple… Salt, pepper, dry aged beef flavor. If that’s your thing, it’s one of the best steaks you’ll taste…

Bought a dozen hot tamales to go. They looked like they had chili previously on them prior to me buying them. You could tell they weren’t fresh and they had scraped the chili off them and sold them to me. They were terrible.

Sat down with our party of 4, and let the waitress know that we needed 10 minutes to decide what to do before we ordered. She looked at us like we were crazy, and rudely said “ok, then.” Within 2 minutes, a man comes up, asks no questions, and assertively says “if y’all aren’t going to dine you need to leave.” ZERO hospitality. ZERO awareness of prior loyalty to the establishment. DO NOT try and enjoy a business conversation before placing any orders. They will kick you out, no questions asked.

Bit of a hole in the wall feel to it, eclectic, lots of history and stuff on the walls. Really nice server and great service overall, but the food was just a little bit off on the night we went. The salads were oily and wilted. We tried the tamales and chili, just not our taste. They served us boiled potatoes even though the steak came with fries, but the potatoes were devoid of seasoning, so it was confusing. The steak was a bit greasy and overly charred for our taste. Maybe will try it again in the future.

We had they most relaxing, tasty, and comfortable business lunch here today. My only regret is that I haven’t been here before!

A coworker and I were treated to lunch by our bosses, and she recommended this location. The other three of us had never been, so let her lead. We started with tamales and chili, which were FANTASTIC!

Then we shared a family-style 3-pound porterhouse steak, cooked a fantastic medium. The service was fast yet not rushed. We had more than enough time to enjoy our lunch, and our glasses never went empty.

I didn’t try a burger, but after seeing many walk past us, they surely looked good and were very popular!

The group ate for about $150 after a much-earned tip. I’ll definitely return with my wife for lunch one day, but I am not sure we’d be comfortable in this part of town after dark.

A steakhouse with red-and-white-checkered tablecloths? Yes please. Steak was cooked to perfection (out of this world porterhouse), portions are generous, fries are incredible. Staff were helpful and pleasant and kind. No frills, casual vibe, incredible food.
If you are in Little Rock and don’t go here you are making a big mistake! It’s that good!!

Try the tamales. These are Delta style which are a little different than the normal Mexican style . Delicious. Comes with a bowl of chili almost as good as mine!

Genuinely good sized portions served family style unless you really like to pack in double and triple portions. Just a few select items done nicely. Handcut fries is a bonus for me. Pleasant atmosphere and simple; Family run and operated
