Great Atmosphere, Its a Mix of a sports Bar & Nice Place for a Date.. I came for the .50 cent wings on Wednesday. NICELY fried Wings, Although Skimpy on the Sauce. Got Buffalo & sweet Thai chilli. And a Bloom. The Blooming onion is NOT worth It. $15 Needs to be fried in Hotter oil & Place on a Drip rack or Paper Towels for Oil to drain.. it sat on a Plate and All the Oil accumulated on the Bottom. Making it Very Soggy. The Ends of the Bloom were Good, Little Cup of Sauce.. you will Run out of Sauce halfway through the Bloom.. if you Manage to get that Far.. I Repeat The Bloom is HALF SOGGY.. only the Ends are crispy.. Wings are Good, The Thai Chili is SWEET.. Just need more Sauce, otherwise you get a Few Bites of Chicken without Any Flavor.. I Would Go Back. Bring my Own Cayenne Pepper, to make the Wings a Little Spicier. GAMES they have a mini Basketball hoops & skeet ball . 6pm is when Happy Hour Ends.. Thank You & Enjoy

I’ve visited Dodo Bird Kitchen and Cocktails three times now, and I genuinely love the aesthetic and the overall vibe of this place, it’s fantastic and deserves all the praise. Unfortunately, I have to flag a significant issue: this restaurant definitely struggles with kitchen consistency.
Visit 1 (5 Stars!): My first experience was absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the Dumplings, the impressive Tomahawk for Two, and the sides were the simple greens salad, charred broccolini, almost forgot to mention the chimichurri sauce (accompanies the steak), and the fresh cut fries (y’all know how I feel about fresh cut fries). Everything was absolutely delicious! This meal truly set a high bar.
Visits 2 and 3 (Major Dip): My next two visits were a letdown. On the second trip, I tried the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. It was not my cup of tea; it lacked the expected Nashville flavor and just tasted like a generic, non-Nashville sandwich. Worse, the fries were noticeably undercooked.
On the third visit, I ordered the wings, and the flavor issue persisted, there was no real taste to the wings or the accompanying sauce. And shockingly, I had to send the fries back again because they were undercooked, just like the time before.
The Verdict: Dodo Bird has tremendous potential because the ambiance is top-notch and the kitchen has proven it can produce incredible food (hello, Tomahawk!). However, repeating the same quality issues across different dishes and failing on a simple side like fries twice suggests a real problem with execution standards. I hope they can address this quickly, because when they are on, they are truly great. Until then, it’s a mixed bag.

Went to Dodo Bird after seeing some reviews and it was excellent. From the outside it looks like it could just be another strip mall bar, but once inside and the food arrived, it was clear this place was on a different, more well curated level. This ended up being one of those “how is this place this good?” experiences.

*Service: the service was stellar. Ella was our server, and this was the second time we’ve had her, months apart, and she was just as wonderful both times. Super sweet, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She was always there when we needed her, regularly checking in with just a glance as she walked by, but never hovering. It felt natural and effortless. I could not have asked for better service.

*Food: the food was outstanding across the board. Shockingly good for what most people would assume is just a strip mall bar, nope, it’s great.

The onion bloom was gigantic and delicious. Deep fried, crispy, great sauce, and more than enough for four people to share.

The $99 tomahawk steak was absolutely awesome. Humongous, cooked perfectly, well seasoned, juicy, hot, and already sliced for you on a beautiful cutting board delivered to your table. Not exaggerating, the bone was over two feet long. See photos. It was phenomenal. We went to a world class Brazilian steakhouse just days after this, and I would come back here for this tomahawk steak ten out of ten times before going back there. That’s shocking for me to hear myself say, but it’s absolutely true.

We also ordered the “adult happy meal” and it was fantastic. An amazing deal that includes a double smash-cheese burger that was juicy, warm, creamy, Smokey and delicious, thick cut meaty steak fries that were seasoned perfectly, and includes a beer or well drink, all for $20. All the food was excellent.

The short rib dumplings were another hit. Chewy dumpling wrappers, stellar meat inside, and a sauce that tied everything together beautifully.

Every dish was fresh, well made, and built with quality ingredients. Nothing felt rushed or average.

*Ambiance: the atmosphere is modern but very comfortable. Lots of little white lights that make the space feel dim, warm, and glowing. The restaurant wraps around the bar in a large U shape, with plenty of TVs and sports playing, and tons of barstools in the middle, but comfy booths on the outside. It felt energetic but still relaxed and easy to settle into.

*Value: between the quality of the food, the portions, the great service, the pricing, and especially things like the adult happy meal and their happy hour offerings, the value here is excellent. I left feeling like what we got far exceeded what we paid.

*Overall: this place is outstanding. Incredible service, warm and comfortable atmosphere, and outstanding food across the board. The fact that this exists in a strip mall is almost unbelievable. I want to come back over and over just to work my way through their menu and all their specials. I couldn’t be happier we found this place.

They have incredible happy hour throughout the week, we want to come back every day and try all of their different specials. Highly recommend this place! You’d be doing yourself a disservice to miss it.

This place has been on my list to go to, my husband finally took me!

The oysters were great! We went on their $1.00 day special and didn’t expect them to be as good as they were. They were nice and chill and the sauce that came with them were great.

I normally don’t order dessert when we go out, but on this occasion I took advantage of my husband and ordered their butter cake. Phenomenal! It was so good! I’d definitely order that again.

Recommendations would be have the waiter more accessible to their table.

Destinay was our server, she was great and our drinks came out perfect! Highly recommended the peppermint espresso martini and the KFC cauliflower. The vibe was great and the food was good. Little pricey but worth a visit.

Our reservation was at 12:30 for 13, they sat us at a table for 10 which they said they would extend and they did after an hour. Most people in the group ordered bottomless which by the time we were able to place our order was 1pm so we knew we had only 1 hour yet the refills took so long we got 3 refills so not worth the bottomless. Also, our food came out late, the last persons (2) to get their food was by 1:56pm thats almost an hour of waiting for a sandwich and fries.

Beautiful spot.

Got the wings and the flavor was Buffalo. The wings are delicious and crispy but needs more Buffalo sauce, cause it’s like a dry rub. The Mac and cheese was okay but my sister loved it.

I got the ceaser salad, tasted interesting like lemon. Also got the steak frites and it was really good.

Took a while to ask for the check.

came for valentine’s day and was highly disappointed. ordered the bao buns which said it came with bulgogi, pineapple, pickles etc. i received the buns and bulgogi but no toppings. when i asked the waitress she had no idea what i was talking about even after showing the menu description. restaurant was not busy but my burger still took almost 40 minutes. Also ordered the oysters and 10/10 would not recommend. strong fishy odor and taste. Wanted to finish with a paper plane, very classic cocktail, asked the bartender if it were possible and she said yes. It was 90% watered down lemon juice and aperol. fries were cold and soggy. just a downright bad experience especially on a day when they should be on their best. do better dodo bird

The curly headed guy, Angel was the highlight of my experience. Charming, attentive, smart and basically everything else we all want in a great bartender. I recommend the steak frites and the Good and Dirty martini. Will be back. Angel’s great service msy have even made the food taste better.
