Came across this steakhouse while looking for something local in South Wilkesboro, and it did not disappoint. I was initially a little concerned since we were the only people in the restaurant at 7:00 p.m., but that worry quickly faded. The atmosphere was quiet, and service was prompt and attentive.
I ordered the 16-oz ribeye, which was cooked perfectly. The only drawback was that it could have used a bit more seasoning. Bar drinks were on point, though the draft selection was limited to just one local beer.
Overall, a solid local spot with good food and strong drinks.

First, we’ll start off with the good, They have a very good salad and blue cheese, The bread with the cinnamon butter is really good. The onion blossom was good tasting but don’t expect it to come. Looking like outback. It’s just a pile of onion rings basically, but there’s tasty. The hostess that site us was very nice, the waitress had a bad headache but she still was very attentive so the staff seems to be good at this location. The price was decent for a steakhouse . Now the bad,I ordered a 12 oz ribeye medium and of course ribeyes are very marbleized with fat and I know that and I enjoy that. But there was a big chunk of fat, Probably I would say a third of the steak not marbleize, but pure fat. My steak actually come out extra rare, not medium, but I do not send my steak back for two reasons for one I don’t want spit on it, and two. They usually overcook it at that point and dries it out so I just eat it. My wife ordered the filet mignon, butterfly cut ,But it was not butterfly cut. It looked like just a plain sirloin and it was just as tough. Then I had the displeasure of having to use the restroom, The divider for the urinal was only hanging on by the bottom broke off completely the top. It smell completely like old urine. It was disgusting. Too many negatives to overcome the positives , I think I will skip this chain in the future.

This is the best meal I’ve had in a very long time.
Everything was cooked to perfection. Excellent smoke flavor on the sirloin from the new grill, baked potato, Sweet potato, salad and the Rolls were delicious.
Ohhhh. The Brownie …Wow ..❤️
The management, the wait staff, our waitress Alyx and the cooks are top notch
I highly recommend this place.

Wow! Where do I start? Our party of 7 had 3 meals messed up. Hamburger steak was burnt and lacking the gravy. The wattress brought out the gravy and thats when we sent back the meat, he said it even tasted burnt. The fresh one they brought he did say was Great. Son in laws filet was Raw, RAW! and my granddaughters chicken Alfredo was missing chicken. The 4 chicken entrees were good and 10/10 recommend. However, the rice had to be dried out from Yesterday. Hopefully they can get it together.
*** the new manager came out, told us the kitchen staff was also new and in training. He gave us 3- $10 off cards.
– on the way out we noticed someone else’s was also raw..
Our wattress, Emma was Amazing.
Added a video of the chickenless alfredo

I went here because it was close to my hotel and was looking forward to a nice steak since I hadn’t eaten all day. I sat at the bar and the bartender was wonderful in taking my order. The food however was horrible. I wanted a filet but they were out so I got the ribeye. They were also out of steak sauce. I ordered a salad and it was pretty good. I also ordered the onion petals and they were so nasty I sent them back.. The grease they were cooked in was scorched beyond belief. Then they brought my steak. It was minimum 45% pure fat… and the 55% of meat was so tough until it was uneatable. The bartender apoligized but it definitely wasn’t her fault. I give this place 1/2 star .. I’ll never go here again… And I paid for my meal and tipped 20%. I wasn’t looking for anything free but something that was worth eating and this was not the place.

Went in as a group of 4. I put in an order and was charged for two appetizers of mozzarella sticks, never received them. Our sides were given to the wrong person. My girlfriends fries were put on a plate with grilled chicken, onions and peppers an was told to scrap her fries on to her plate with onion juice instead off bringing out a order of fries.
A order of blackened chicken Alfredo was placed. A piece of pink chicken was found with the feathers still attached. I have had bad experiences in the past but this will be the last time I eat or recommend anyone eat there.
It was valentines day a little after 8pm but only two other tables were occupied so they were not very busy for this level of service and food. I still tipped appropriately and did not make a fuss. I just hope they do better.

Steakhouse in Wilkesboro that we stopped at on the way to Beech Mtn. We were asked to seat ourselves, and the person coming in behind us was seated and waited on first. Our server must have been relatively new as she wasn’t sure of beer selections and answers to food questions. My husband had the Marshall Dillon ribeye marinated with the house marinade, fries, and a salad(which he ordered for me). He really liked the steak, and the fries were perfectly crisy. I ordered the chili with no cheese and ate his salad. The chili cake with cheese, so I asked the server for another bowl. When she brought it back, it was luke warm, and only after a few spoonfuls did I notice they had just mixed the cheese into the chili. The salad had bruised cucumbers, and she brought a different dressing than I asked for.

Where else are you going to get a good steak in Wilkes by God County? Coach’s? Way too smoky. Applebee’s? If you want a plain sirloin. You want a great ribeye or fillet, Dodge is the place. Fireball available upon request.

I was not impressed by this place. I came thinking of you have the word “Steak House” in your name that it should be a legit high level steak that comes out. I was terribly wrong. I ordered the rib eye but it was very very thin. Reminiscent of what you would normally get at Waffle House. Sadly, I preferred the Waffle House. With it being so thin, very difficult to get it cooked properly, and that was how I got the steak. It was over cooked in majority of the area, but somehow the fat did not get rendered out on the little fat that it had, and there was still some raw blood on part of my steak. The sides were ok. The atmosphere was dead. When I pulled into the restaurant I thought it was closed because there were no cars in the parking lot. This was about a month ago, and I was only prompted to write this review now because I am back in NC and this restaurant came up again on my search.
I also have to disclose that I’m from Texas, and our restaurants and steaks there are different. Receipt to validate I was there.

6 tables around us complained about their food. Most sent it back. The steak was so chewy and tough, cheese sticks were cold the cheese wasn’t even cooked, fries were not even cooked!! This is definitely the worst meal I have had in a while and I never complain at restaurants. The server was nice but whoever the cook is needs to be fired. The table beside of us got it right when they said where are we going to dinner after this!
