Delicious food! Opened for all meals. We wanted a breakfast place in the area and this came up. We were skeptical, but we are glad we came! There was music playing from a digital jukebox, but it wasn’t overly loud. TVs were playing, as well. There’s an area that is quieter without the TVs if you prefer.

The food was great. Large portions. I think the powdered sugar was missing from my French toast, though. It was still good. The service was amazing. Brisket scrambler came with scrambled eggs, but the server came back and asked how he wanted the eggs. They come with scrambled eggs, but he asked for over easy. When it came out, they were scrambled, so she brought an extra order of over easys. 🙂

We will be back to try dinner sometime.

They have been added to the rotation of regular spots for us to dine at. I have tried both breakfast and lunch/dinner. It’s all good! If you visit for breakfast don’t skip the cheese grits! They are amazing and this is coming from a person that doesn’t like cheese grits. The omelette is pretty tasty as well. I got it with all the meats.

For dinner/lunch I suggest the brisket. I ate it without sauce because it was seasoned and smoked to perfection. The pulled pork is good too. Each table has a variety of different sauces ranging from sweet to savory.

They do not yet have their beer and wine license but are working on it. They have ample parking and service is great. Definitely worth checking out.

This review is for breakfast only- we plan to try to have lunch or dinner sometime soon based on the good reviews for the BBQ.
Breakfast was MEH. Eggs and pancakes for the hubs- both were just there- scrambled eggs were eggs only- nothing at all special. Pancake was average but bland. Sugar free syrup was available and appreciated.
I had the Scrambler Bowl. Eggs again scrambled and were pretty flavorless. Tater tots were good, not much in the way of onions or peppers, and only a little more cheese than the onions and peppers.
Service was nice and friendly- but we will not be back for breakfast.

Delicious! Amazing bbq. Loved the garlic toast with my pulled pork sandwich and the cornbread has a hint of cinnamon. The ribs were good! Didn’t come off the bone too easily/ right amount of pull. The restaurant is spotlessly cleaned and the staff are warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Great service and good BBQ. We were greeted as we entered by a hostess so there was no guessing where to look for direction to go upon entering. Friendly folks from start to finish. Our server checked back often and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Smoked turkey was excellent and the sides were very good. We’ll be back again!

Parking was easy but make sure you enter at the first entrance.
Walked in and was seated right away. Only a few people eating.
Sat down, ordered and was presented my food within 5 minutes.
See photo attached. .the Smoked pulled pork with Brioche bun and a side of tater tots
The pork was good but dry. I looked over to find sauce for the pork but nothing was labeled. Found one I liked. As for the tater tots, they were hot and fresh. I put a little Ketchup on em and as for the Salt shaker, be careful. The top opening is not normal. I’d recommend putting some in your hand then dash it on as needed.
The Coke via fountain drink was perfect.
All for $17 and change. Gave thr young lady a $20 and left

Would I recommend this place. Sure. It’s quiet, feels homie.. everyone is nice. Price was fair.

We tried Docs for the first time a couple weeks ago. I had the ribs which were great, regular bbq sauce was really good too.
Wife had the brisket but it was to dry. She wants to try the chicken next time.

We will be back!

We have been waiting for this place to recover from the storm a couple of years back.. and with a new owner and a new name , it’s back up and running with much consideration to comfort and aesthetics of the improved dining area and parking lot . I understand that there may be outside expansion as well .
I expected to smell the smokehouse walking up, but didn’t.. I thought that it must be the wind direction, and usually I can smell the smoke flavor of the meat inside the restaurant.., but didn’t.
I’m not sure why I was so disappointed that the brisket I waited for didn’t taste like it had been in a smoker..
The okra is delicious!
The folks operating the restaurant are as good as they come! Very friendly and helpful.

3 Stars

I briskly walked balladromically to the front door, inhaling the gorgeous aroma of slow-cooked smoked meat. Aubrey is the server. She was fantastic. She gave off a vibe of warmth and friendship and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She received a 40% tip today for her professionalism. Kudos, Aubrey! Thank you for being so dedicated to your job. I asked Aubrey for some smoked chicken wings, smoked meatloaf, and some smoked Mac & Cheese. I was beginning to see a pattern.

There are two other restaurants of the same moniker that are connected. However, upon a call from my Editor, the person at Doc’s Smokehouse in Titusville said she didn’t think so, though she was relatively new, so don’t quote her. The other two are in the Upper Midwest, so I would hazard to guess that unless Doc came down for some sun and decided not to leave, they are not related.

Now, I like me a good dry wing, but one bite in and I found these to be so dry, I was spitting out cotton balls. Not really, but you get the point. I think these might have been left under the lights a bit too long or overcooked. Either way, they had superb flavoring they were just drier than the Gobi.

The smoked meatloaf was above average. You got a good sense of the smoke. It was smokey on the palate, but not so much that it lacked flavor. The complex flavor of the meats, herbs, spices, and smoke came together in joyous harmony, dancing on my palate like a well-rehearsed symphony. The side of mashed potatoes was likewise delectable.

As I approached my last dish to be sampled, I allowed the smoked meatloaf to leisurely exit my senses and then and only then did I sample the Smoked Mac & Cheese. This was almost as good as the Smoked Meatloaf. It was creamy and smokey, the pasta was cooked to perfection and it was above average. Nothing wrong here at all.

If it hadn’t been for the arid wings, this would have been a 4-star review. Smoke is the theme here, from the name to the menu. I’m all for that, as I love good slow and low-smoked meat.

The Big Boy says, “Smoke ’em if ya got ’em and head to Doc’s Smokehouse. You won’t be disappointed.”

Best BBQ I have found in the Titusville area. The ribs were moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. Tasted great even without adding one or more of the sauces. Had the sliced pork on garlic bread on my second visit. Nice smoked lean and tender slices. BBQ beans had nice chunks of meat, good Mac n cheese.
