First off let me just say they have a score of 97. We are here for Bamarama 2026. We went to the #Breakout escape room over on the wharf, and asked for a local eatery. Hands down this place did not disappoint at all. Raw oysters on the the half shell delish, salad bar has something for everyone. Crab cakes, hush puppies fantastic, grilled shrimp, blackened Swai fish( white fish) was as close to perfection as possible. Baked fish was equally tasty. We had my husband and I with 3 15 year old daughters, hooray all around . There are 2 locations Foley( we are here) and Orange. Both owned by the same family. Thank you to our great bartender and waitress Jessica. Ask for her section, tell her the Girl Dad sent you. #TT #GGS #GFJ and #TheREALone

First time trying out this place. I ordered half dozen of best fried shrimp, dynamite shrimp, and half dozen of large boiled shrimp. The best fried shrimp comes with one trip salad and French fries. The one trip salad means you can only take one time to their salad bar.
All the food just standard ok in my opinion. Nothing special or really delicious.
In the salad bar, they have fresh veggies, all the salad toppings, salad dressing and potato salad, chicken salad, tuna salad.
FYI, the boiled shrimp is cold like it’s come out from the fridge.
The service is fast but the waiters seem rushing us to order. I mean this is our first time and we need time to take a look the menu which I did explain it to her as well.
The place is clean and big. Plenty of parking spot during the Lunch time on the weekend.
I think it’s not worth to come back here, just this one time is enough.

We’ve always enjoyed Docs but it was our first time at the newer foley location. I had fried soft shell Dinner with a side salad and cup of gumbo. My husband had a grilled seafood platter with a side salad and cup of gumbo. We both enjoyed our meal. We were a little confused to who was actually our server was until the end of our meal. In the Area we were seated had dual servers but wasn’t introduced that way.

Nice atmosphere, not too busy, came in about 6pm. Plenty of seating. Got the dynamite shrimp to start, Delicious. 3 of us got the blackened mahi mahi and 1 got the filet minon. There’s a salad bar and most of the dishes come with this side. Our server was excellent (Jordan I think was his name) he’s a look alike of Dax Shephard. Also had a pina colada which was very good. Just dont drink it too fast there will be a brain freeze! To finish the dinner we had the cheese cake, very creamy! Would come back again when back in Alabama.

We stopped and had a decent meal at Docs. It just opened! Just as good, if not better than the other sister restaurants, possibly because it’s a new atmosphere. It was real noisy though, so be prepared. It has an atmosphere like a sports bar with a lot of tvs in one big room. We got a bowl of gumbo, some blackened whitefish (swai), fries, hushpuppies, and drinks. Most items are kind of pricey, but it’s tourist prices I guess. Most things are fried, but there are many other things that are not, and an ok salad bar. We actually loved the taste of the meal. Quite surprised and happy about that. The atmosphere was really what brought the stars down for us. The staff was very friendly. Great location.

Had a Sunday dinner here. I sat at the bar and they were fairly busy. However, the bartender she was wonderful. Got a quick drink and I ordered Doc’s Super Seafood Platter- which is fish, shrimp, oysters, stuffed crab and fries with a cup of Gumbo. My order came out pretty fast and it was super fresh, I literally had to let the plate cool down before I could touch it. My favorite part of this was the fish and oysters along with the gumbo. Also, the bartender made me fresh cocktail sauce(really good). I very much would recommend this restaurant.

Doc’s Seafood in Foley, AL is outstanding! The spider sandwich was the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The loaded baked potato was delicious and came out piping hot. Service was prompt, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere is beautiful — warm, coastal, and relaxing. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I went there for the first time last Sunday and everything was perfect and delicious! My husband ordered the steak sandwich and I ordered the fried shrimp and when they tell you they have the best fried shrimp they are not lying! Our server I believe her name was Lydia she was amazing and very attentive and we just loved her! Planning on going back today I have a feeling this is going to be one of our regular places! Also I ordered a Blackberry old fashioned and it was amazing! If I can give this place 10 Stars I would!

Got there at 2 and didn’t mind the changeover in prices, but we got cold shrimp, Cold fries and a shitty salad bar. What happened to the best shrimp on the planet??? The open floor plan is also very noisy, no barrier walls to buffer all the noise. Disappointed for the expensive cost for cold small shrimp!!

After a slow start with sub-par customer service from the hostess stand, the waitresses was able to turn it around. I was already skeptical about the shrimp being the best in the world according to the billboard as well. I have to say that it was not the best I have ever had but I will say it was pretty tasty and I would eat it again. I was impressed by the crab cake but crab cake connoisseurs from the Chesapeake Bay area may not be. I’m just glad that real crab was used even though it was just a bit too much binder. As I said before, I would still eat it again.
