The sandwich, a Doc Brown, was amazing, the pesto made it better than your usual turkey based sandwich. Hangover Stew was my cup of soup on the side- it was full of potatoes, a bit of corn, jalapeño, and an herby cream broth that was very flavorful.
The shop is small, but it’s clean and offers a sharing library shelf (bring a book/take a book) some lovely stained glass, and cheeky prints with word play on the walls.
Prices are really good for downtown, where things get expensive really quickly. Good food, good price. Nice place, nice people. Recommended for groups of 6 or fewer due to space constraints.

Ordered the Doc’s Breakfast Sandwich the night before to be ready at 930AM. Keep in mind it was Homecoming Weekend for Griz Football. Our sandwiches were ready on time, hot and so flavorful! Perfect addition for our morning watching the Homecoming Parade. Delicious and well done

This was an amazing spot for brunch, very unique and fun place and the food was cheaper than other sandwich shops in the area. My order tasted great and was very authentic, almost like I made the sandwich myself in my kitchen with simple ingredients. You’re able to customize your own sandwich with a wide selection of ingredients too, and they have a nice variety of bread. It did take a while for them to make two sandwiches despite only one or two other customers, but wait times aren’t a big complaint for me personally. I would come back plenty of times.

The Dr. Frankenstein was not as pictured on the menu. There was only salami on half of the sandwich. There was only one slice of turkey, one slice of ham, and one slice of roast beef. Not worth the money we paid for a sandwich that we could have made at home.

Not a very good experience we ordered our food and service was quick I had gotten a French dip with a side soup. The soup was very good modest portions but good, my wife got a deli style sandwich which she enjoyed I received a French dip that was pretty bad the portions of meat would take up 1/3 of the bun and the edges would be bread mixed with very dry overcooked yet not tender meat and some pieces were fatty to the point it wasn’t worth eating. All of this would have left me with a meh impression but when I look over one of the girls is sitting on top of the prep area. Just felt the whole experience was off putting

Stopped for a late lunch. It was a Friday and quess what soup is on menu. Clam chowder! Lots of clams, potatoes and thick. So tasty, should have made a meal of the delicious soup. Yes that good. Also I ordered the Dr. Demento. Only 11 dollars. It had salami,Ham,provolone,Italian, pepperoncini, lettuce, tomato, onion,Dijon, mayo,on a French roll.! Just right along with the clam chowder. Wife had Doc Holiday, Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce lettuce, mayo, on wheat. Daughter had Dr. Who. Turkey,Cheddar, Bacon,Avocado,Mayo,Lettuce,Tomato on toasted sourdough. All sandwich’s were very tasty and fills the void. Service was top notch and very clean. Food came out hot and fast. On the way out after taking garbage to trash can I asked if they made there cookies, she said yes and offered me one. Asked how much and she said no charge. Yep later in the day tried the cookie and was so tasty like homemade! Location is right down town so parking is a problem. But worth the walk. We will be back.

We stopped in Doc’s during our visit to downtown Missoula. The deli is located right downtown and easy walk from street parking.
They have a very extensive list of sandwiches to select from. We had the Demento which was very delicious and full of meat and toppings.
They have a casual atmosphere with plenty of seating. Our food was served very quickly.
Overall we had a great dinning experience.

When I first moved to Missoula, someone said I had to try Doc’s. I’m here to say you have to try Doc’s. At least once. They are a staple, quietly fueling downtown daily life. Great breakfast and lunch sandwich’s. Good, good people. They’ll even hold on to your wallet, cash and all, for you without asking. I should have left a review earlier.

I’ve ordered from Docs through Door Dash a couple of times and the food arrives quickly, is still warm, and tastes delish! The actual restaurant has been a staple in Missoula for as long as I can remember and feels like a part of the history of our town 🙂

Wow just wow! This place is actually delicious! The front till person greeted us right away. And was super friendly and knew the menu well. They still bring the food to you and that gal was friendly as well. I got the Dr.Who sandwich and soup combo. I can’t eat much due to a surgery I had and this was plenty! There is a lot to choose from as well. I’d definitely come back and invite others to do so as well!
