Absolutely fantastic! Everything we got was amazing. The sauces were on point. The Texas Twinkie’s (jalapeño poppers) were amazing. They were stuffed with brisket and cream cheese. The salad was HUGE and the honey lime cumin dressing was on point. Pulled pork sandwich was delightful, the bread was soft and there was plenty of pulled pork in it. Service was quick and friendly. Will always stop here when in Prescott.

We were excited to see what they had done with this building and I and my boyfriend thought what we ordered was absolutely amazing. It got there quickly and our waitress, Tristin, was very helpful. We grabbed the sample platter, Texas twinkies, cobb salad and the nachos. It’s was so good! The bigger tables are incredibly nice and we can’t wait to go back to try the burgers! I love that the sauces were also on the table and they sat us/grabbed our drinks etc it was really nice. Can’t wait to see how they grow!
I also want to add that the turkey was incredibly juicy and moist, something the other restaurant never seemed to do. It was actually our favorite!

It’s all about the meat here. Large portions of meat, perfectly cooked with nice barbecue char. There’s a variety of sauces to choose from. May not be the best sauces but the meat doesn’t really need it. Good coleslaw that offsets the rich meats. Toast is ok, a little dry for brioche. Cornbread would have been nice.

The “twinkies” were good, with a nice kick.
Burnt ends were a little fatty but great flavor.
Service super fast since everything is already made. Servers seemed very busy and overlooked a few things, also got someone else’s receipt. Nice atmosphere and wood tables.
Everything was digital so you can pay by Apple Pay or the server comes to the table to scan the card. It’s efficient.
It has some rustic charm that might need refining, but overall satisfied with the meal. Would definitely be back.

ABSOLUTELY delicious and having service at your table is a very nice change. We did have the Texas Twinkies ( no pic), the nachos, Cobb salad and the brisket cheese steak sandwich. French fries are nice and crisp. PHENOMENAL

The BEST food experience so far in Prescott. The food was delicious, the place is very nice and Earl our waiter was phenomenal. Will visit every time I’m here visiting my son.

Service was quick, effective and with a really nice personal touch. Earl you are the best!

We had burgers, jalapeños and cheese dip. Also the burnt ends were spectacular.

Doc’s has an amazing atmosphere and is very clean. We were seated right away and the food came super fast! Waitstaff is friendly and efficient and the BBQ is amazing! The brisket and smoked turkey just melt in your mouth and the rib falls right off the bone. This is a must-do in the Prescott area.

It was super busy and we showed up 45 minutes before close and grabbed a few beers & some food. The food took awhile but they were allowing patrons in right up until close at 8pm. We were some of the last people eating in there and the bartender was super nice & attentive . Along with the Manager Danny who took good care of and was very friendly. We saw Danny personally thank his staff members for their effort since a lot of people called out which was nice to see first hand you don’t really get to see that kinda stuff. We ordered smoked wings, smoked Philly cheeseteak and a brisket southwest salad and every item was top notch. The brisket has a beautiful smoke ring and was super tender especially on the cheesesteak! The smoked wings were cooked perfectly and paired great with the cali squeeze wheat beer I had. My lady had a beer called big blue van and it tasted just like blueberries she really liked it. Nice rustic decor with an elk mount on the wall and a set of bull horns. It has a classic rustic western bar vibe with a twist of modern and themed to Doc Holiday. The place was packed so we knew we came to the right spot. We will definitely be going back its right across from City Hall.

The food started good with the smoked Buffalo chicken dip and fried pickles, then it faded away.
I had the 6 shooter.
The brisket was tough and low in flavor.
The Texas link was flavorless.
The pork and turkey were ok
The fries were bland and flavorless.
My son had the brisket burger. The patty and the brisket were unseasoned and flavorless.
Felt like the cooks either never heard of seasoning – not even pepper and salt – or the company didn’t get the seasoning ordered.
Our server seemed either new to restraunt serving, or was just not wanting to be there.
We are not interested in going back.

Our family loved Colt Grill, but this place is, hands down, superior! The smoked turkey is so moist, burnt end Berger is tasty, brisket sandwich had the perfect smoke on it, and the beans were awesome. We tried the banana pudding as well. So happy to see they’ve moved the smoker to the back of the patio. We hated leaving Colt BBQ smelling like we just worked an eight hour shift in the kitchen. Also, looking forward to the covered patio this summer. Love the updated decor and flooring too. Service was stellar!!!!!!
We eat out a LOT and this place is definitely on the rotation from now on. Highly recommend this place.

Friday at 11am we got a table, took a bit of time for someone to notice us inside the door. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. Love that this isn’t cafeteria style – if you want seating away from the open kitchen hustle and bustle, get a table at Montezuma or further in the back . She took our order and delivered it, checked back a couple times to see if we needed anything else. The place filled to capacity quickly. My friend and I met for our first meal of the day and a chat. Even though all tables were filled while we chatted for quite a bit after eating, we never felt rushed, when the waitress came up we apologized – she said ‘no hurry’. The inside has been cleaned and remodeled, a nice improvement over the last restaurant.

Danny, the manager, has his heart in it. Very personable and chatted with us for awhile. My friend had worked for the previous establishment/managers – she had nice things to say about the new ambiance/cleanliness and staff.

The food needs improvement.

We had pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and french fries. Needed LOTS of sauce to give the pork any flavor – it was also cold and dry with hard bits. The toasted brioche bun was very nice with a hint of garlic. Good variety of sauces from sweet to jalapeno. And the sauce containers were clean, not goopy on the top or outside.

The coleslaw had NO flavor, just shredded cabbage with a watery mayo. Might be ok on good flavored pulled pork, but not as a side dish.

The french fries looked good – coated/crisp on the outside. They were just right in that regard, but once again there was no flavor. Needed a light dusting of seasoning in the kitchen. I fixed half of them with ketchup and the other half with salt.

I felt there were good portions of the fries and meat on the bun. The serving plate (platter) could have been bigger so I could spread out my food a bit and put a dollop of ketchup on the paper.

I find the disparity between reviews of ‘very good flavors’ and ‘tasteless’ confusing. Maybe one day is better than others?

I’m sure they will work out the kinks with tasteless foods & dry meat with no hint of BBQ and it will be a big sensation with that great location.
