We come here often and it has usually been pretty good. On our visit tonight it looked like they had revamped. I got the chopped salad and wasn’t super impressed, but my son got the pizza and it was great. He got the larger one and it was huge. My husband got the nachos and gave them five stars. Kids menu is the same as most places and my daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers. New highlight was the dessert menu! We got the molten chocolate lava cake to share and it was delicious.
The only thing I really didn’t like here is the water. Everyone in our family thought it had a distinct after taste and even the soft drinks have a different taste to me. Other than that we all highly recommend while you’re at Shangri La!

We were here during spring break. Didn’t seem busy sat immediately with a noon arrival. The place is nice and comfortable. The food was excellent. Smash Burger was better than most and the Nashville hot chicken was the best I’ve had anywhere not to hot but tasty and hung over the bun

This place isn’t even trying. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It wasn’t anything that resembled an Old Fashioned. I sat at the bar while some pretentious woman, apparently an owner, barked orders at the staff while she sat there eating breakfast. The staff needs proper training and the bar is in dire need of a mixologist. The food was subpar at best. BBQ sauce on Nachos. No thanks. What a waste of a beautiful venue. I expected so much more out of Eastern Oklahoma.

The atmosphere is amazing, but the food and drinks leave a lot to be desired. I ordered an old fashioned and got some syrup concoction served to me instead. I politely said that it was too sweet and was not an old fashioned and asked for a beer instead. The original cocktail was watered down in an attempt to kill the sweetness and was returned to our table (I still didn’t drink it). My wife ordered the Monterey Chicken, and I had the Tomato basil penne with chicken (I had a hamburger for lunch and didn’t have many other options). The Monterey Chicken was extremely dry and had little to no flavor. My pasta tasted like it was doused in Campbell’s Tomato soup from a can, and the penne was severely overdone and mushy. My chicken was also very dry and had little to no flavor. Now the good news is that the kid’s menu was incredible! My kids had the Chicken tenders and the pulled pork sliders. I immediately wished I had ordered from the kid’s menu when the food arrived at the table. Service was tad on the slow side but decent overall. Our server was very likable.

The wine was delicious, the waiter was kind, but a bit slow. The catfish was very salty and the beans had pork in them. The hush puppies were delicious. I don’t think i want to return. Time is valuable. And mediocre food didn’t help, i was expecting something amazing, but i underestimated it.

Food was the worst. Burnt Ends were nothing but fat. I think they just poured BBQ sauce on some kind of pork. Staff taking money could not answer any questions. The outside area was not set up and we had to put up the umbrella for our table. It seems weird that you would call this place a resort because service was not very good.

Do not eat here! Burnt ends are chunks of luke warm lightly browned fat. I sent them back and was told this was a typical complaint. I asked for a refund and they said that they couldn’t at this time because the manager wouldn’t be there for a few hours… on a Saturday night at 7pm. Go to McDonalds, better food and service.

We were here a few days and enjoyed everything at shangri la except for two separate experiences at docs. Seemed under staffed for how busy it was…Monday lunch and Tuesday dinner. Not the busiest times of the week but took an hour to get our food both times. The food for us was forgetful and not good.I believe management will get this right with time as it was the only downside to the shangri la.

This place use to be great, Loved the breakfast and sold out someone with zero breakfast and the food sucks! $20 for greasy slimy wings! We have always came here once-twice a year to golf but I guess we will find another resort.
