Can’t wait for the re- opening of this great restaurant. Crab cakes, grouper sandwiches, beer battered onion rings, are some of the best. We have been customers at all the past locations on the beaches for many years. Nice pink building with upper deck really stands out on Madeira Beach!

We ordered a small order of onion rings and it was definitely enough for 2 people. They are big and delicious! We then split the best grouper sandwich in the Bay Area!
I should say an extra large grouper sandwich! Definitely big enough to share!
Kelsey was our bartender and she was very friendly and helpful!
We will definitely return!

The wife ordered the Smoked Fish Spread, a Field of Greens Salad and a glass of White Zinfandel. I ordered an IPA beer, the Fried Grouper Sandwich and small Onion Rings. WOW! Unbelievable! The food was outstanding and the portions are double what you expect. Look at the photos! The price is reasonable based upon the quality and quantity. Adding glass of sweet tea, the total was $54.37 before tip. We will definitely be back and for take out too!

Met some friends here because it was a good halfway point…didn’t realize they’d been here before but it was my first time and the reviews impressed me. They weren’t wrong! I am already looking forward to the next time I can come back. Service was not only fast but extremely friendly! No frills, diveish spot, generally packed but we lucked out on a later, Wednesday night dinner…mushrooms, buffalo shrimp, onion rings (that’s the small) and grouper sandwich were all amazing! Get that country style breading over the batter, you won’t regret it!

Sunday Lunch, busy inside. Sat outside,
Had gator bites, little salty, but good. Fried oyster basket with 2 sides. Oysters were tasty, great batter. Sides fries and veg. Veggies good but to much oil. Had a couple margheritas, they were okay, didn’t really have much flavor. Service attentive. Laid back atmosphere, will definitely go back.

Dockside is a little hole in the wall with spectacular food. Don’t go there expecting a high class, fancy dining experience. Go there expecting awesome food and friendly staff! Give it a chance! Go in your comfy clothes, and enjoy the food and drinks. We shared the fried mushrooms, which were delicious, along with the shrimp and scallops alfredo. Both shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. The Alfredo was a little different than most with having a very peppery flavor, but was still good. The portion size was huge and could easily be split between the two of us. We didn’t have the onion rings but took a picture of a to go order as they looked amazing and were huge!! Definitively would recommend you give it a try!

Stopped at Dockside Dave’s after a day at the beach. Got there around 4pm and were seated immediately. Bianca was a gem and provided fantastic service. The grouper bites and calamari were both good appetizers. The grouper sandwich was huge and so good as were the fries. The clam strips were decent but I’ve had better. Definitely recommend this place for good food and super fast service!!

Visited on a Friday afternoon. Was seated quickly. Staff was great as always. I ordered a grouper sandwich that didn’t have much flavor. Ordered grilled and it seemed to not have any kind of spices. Quantity average for a $20 sandwich. Tomato little ripe lettuce barely there. Fries were good. Wasn’t impressed overall which I usually am.

I have gone here several times over the years and it never disappoints! The staff are friendly and efficient. I never had to ask for a thing because they were always there with water, more tea, extra napkins, side plates, to go boxes or whatever was needed. The food is exceptional! I had 5 different grouper sandwiches at five different restaurants along Gulf Blvd and without question the blackened grouper sandwich here was the best! Other items to note were the onion rings, amazing, and the fresh tomatoes. Love this place and will be back again! A+ food and service.

The fish spread should be the world famous dish! One of the best I’ve had. Full patio, inside but no wait seating at the bar. Had the spread, gator nuggets, grouper platter country fried-all very good. Came back a few days later and had the Krab cakes which I found to be flavorless and kind of mushy, Onion rings passing by smelled great!

Great service! Very generous wine glass pours, local beer options. Accessible rest area.
