Had an awesome experience here! The snow crab and shrimp were packed with flavor, also insanely fresh and the seasoning was perfect. We ordered the chef’s special seasoning on the boil, spicy for the spice level. We also order the fried shrimp basket, fried stuff jalapeños and the fried soft shell crab.. THE BEST!!!
The atmosphere was really nice, chill, and inviting. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, very small town feel. I also liked we got to pick what we wanted in our boiler. We don’t eat the shrimp and sausage we’ve gotten at other places, so it was nice not to have it go to waste. The staff was super friendly. I can’t wait to go back.

We ordered some boiled seafood (shrimp & crab legs with sausage, potatoes & corn) and it was SO good! The “spicy” chef special sauce has the right amount of heat and tons of flavor. Everything tasted super fresh and well-seasoned. Highly recommend giving it a try—I am excited for crawfish season!!

Brand new Bastrop super casual style restaurant at the location where Cedars used to be at. It’s a fast casual cajun seafood self service place featuring crawfish , shrimp and blue crab. Order at the front. They will bring the food to you but the rest is up to you. They have picnic benches inside for everyone to sit at with butcher paper for fast clean up that you can toss your Cajun boil out on the table for everybody to dig in and participate. It’s very super casual type of place. They also have fried baskets. The fried shrimp basket with a side of egg rolls is really good. I would give that 2 thumbs up. Trump basket featured 8 large shrimp , very tasty , well done. The fries were lightly breaded too for a nice flavor. Eggrolls were delicious. There were 6 in the basket. Great for super casual dining with large groups. The boils are avaliable with heat levels 0 to 4. Hubby ordered his crawfish and shrimp at heat level 1and said it was tasty and he would go hotter next time. Note to owner, offering bibs would be really helpful.

I loved the sea food boil! It’s reasonably priced and my opinion. I can tell its fresh. Most importantly for me they devein the shrimp!!!!!! Boiling crab and other places don’t devein or clean the shrimp properly so I was really impressed when I noticed they deveined their shrimp. I will be going back!!

I paid $50 for this no flavor trash. I would never eat here again. 2 small pieces of catfish and 6 shrimp.. what a complete ripoff. Cherry creek catfish in Austin is where I would go. I would drive from Bastrop before I would eat here. I’m also posting on yelp. So they can’t block my reviews. Very disappointed!!! I would have given 0 stars if possible!!(

This was our first time eating at Dock Side, and let me just say… we are avid crawfish eaters and these did NOT disappoint! We ordered six pounds of the Cajun crawfish and they were absolutely wonderful — perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and cooked just right.
What made the whole experience even better was the staff. They were so kind and so sweet, and you could just tell they care about their customers. That kind of service goes a long way.
We will absolutely be back! Highly recommend if you love good crawfish and even better people.

Everything was soo good. I got the shrimp boil with corn potatoes and boiled egg. Highly recommend the crab fingers also. Friendly staff as well!
