Went to Dockside 1953 yesterday 2/14/26 for the first time. Even though we had no reservation, they were able to accommodate our party of 3. I probably would have given them 4.5 or 4.8 but I took points off because yes we did not have a reservation, but we requested to be sat outside but we were denied. In addition, even though we were there for about 2 hours eating, we could see plenty of seats outside that remained unoccupied the entire time yet they wouldn’t give it to us. Serving staff was great. Our server *Robert* was attentive nevertheless, mirabelle bruit was a nice crisp drink to start the dinner, the petite filet that I had was 10 out 10. The celery root soup was nice but not memorable. I would definitely come back

Best location for an on-the-water Sunday brunch!!! Our hotel cut off breakfast at 11am and we missed it – so we drove to the Bahia and had the best Sunday brunch ever!!!

It’s my daughter’s birthday – and Mara (the hostess) made her a PERSONALIZED birthday card based on her interests (beach & cats) and Chris (our server) overheard she likes chocolate and surprised her with chocolate ice cream. Such kind people – and their attention to detail made her special day so special

We stayed at Bahia for five days, and enjoying every single service. The dockside has an offer.

We brunch with Patrick who absolutely nailed every point of service. And while the avocado toast with added smoked salmon is insanely ridiculous expensive, it is also amazingly good and totally worth it. No regrets.

We had dinner with Ethan, who made sure that even when a questionable shrimp roll was delivered he corrected the situation immediately.

The pool restaurant was closed one of the days that we were there, and we did take out from dockside, while they were not super ready for the system to go into place. It seemed… Mara made every effort to ensure that our order was exactly what we needed

The thing about dioxide is, it’s an absolutely fantastic on-site restaurant option that serves three meals a day. Is it expensive? Yes. But you also have a stunning view of the dock exceptional service and fantastic food. So is it worth it? Absolutely. We liked it so much. We bought a $40 T-shirt with the name on it from the gift shop.

If you find yourself at the resort and you’re thinking, oh gosh, I’m really hungry, just go to dockside. Problem solved.

Food was ok here. A little salty and pricey. But you do have a nice view of the bay and it’s convenient if you’re staying at the hotel and don’t want to leave. Our server was great though.

Dockside 1953’s Happy Hour is not just a special—it’s an *experience*. It instantly became my new favorite spot in Mission Bay, hands down. From the moment Sherrie settled myself on the patio, soaking in those spectacular, unobstructed bay views as the sun dipped, I knew i was in for a treat.

The vibe is chic nautical without being stuffy, and the service was genuinely five-star: attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced.

Dockside 1953 has nailed the perfect happy hour formula: **breathtaking location + elevated food specials + excellent drinks.** It is the ideal spot to unwind, impress a date, or simply treat yourself after a long day. I will absolutely be back. Shout out to Sherrie she was an outstanding host.

I stayed at Bahia for a work offsite and dined at their restaurant three times. Situated right by the private beach, the restaurant and bar offer stunning views of the bay. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, with heaters available to keep you warm on cooler evenings.

The food was quite good overall. I ordered the Morning Bowl twice as a healthier option and really enjoyed it. That said, service was a bit slow—my meal took about 30 minutes to arrive, and oddly, my colleague received his bill before his food. While the server seemed a bit confused by the situation, they were courteous and quickly checked in with the kitchen to sort things out.

On one visit, I also tried their tequila-based Bramble cocktail from the full bar inside—it was excellent!

While I’m not sure I’d return unless I was staying on the property and had room credit, it’s definitely a solid dining option if you’re at the resort.

The location is right next to the water, which is lovely. Although people do walk by and there is a low wall that doesn’t provide any privacy. The service was wonderful and the staff were very good. However, we were informed that the Lobster Mac n’ Cheese takes a while to make and the chef apparently didn’t want to make it. Disappointing. The Appetizers were very good, albeit we wish the serving portions were bigger than what they presented, especially for the price point they were asking for. They claimed the salad dressings were made in house, but the Caesar dressing was lacking flavor. Overall, while the appetizers were good and staff were attentive, we weren’t impressed with the food, or portions, for the price. They certainly need larger serving sizes and it is disappointing to leave still hungry after paying a premium ticket.

I loved the atmosphere and ambiance especially having the dock view!! Unfortunately the food I ordered didn’t taste like much, very bland and no flavor only thing I enjoyed was the fruit. I had the fish tacos and a crab roll. I’d probably try other food items if I ever go again. The service was amazing though 10/10.

We wanted a tasty dinner on the water and this place delivered. It’s entrance is tucked between the hotel lobby and the gift shop. The steak was cooked perfectly. The burgers were big and came with a generous portion of fries. Our server was nice, attentive, and accommodating to our baby. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious dinner with a view.

One of my top favorite meals of all time!

Service was amazing – Celeste was attentive without being too nosy. She catered to our entire meal with perfect timing of check-ins.

The food was so good. Every request for done was was followed to the letter. Well done to the chefs for presentation as well.

Drinks were delicious. Wine and drinks were perfectly paired.

We sat outside on the patio and it was beautiful weather. Atmosphere is relaxing.

When I’m back in San Diego again, I’m going back!
