Walked over for breakfast on a weekday. Maybe only two tables had guests. We probably stood in the foyer 5min before a staff member came and acknowledged us. Didn’t set the tone off right. Once seated our older woman server didn’t seem too happy to be at work which unfortunately continued throughout the meal. Just very short and curt almost annoyed when we had simple questions about the food. The “latte” I ordered- just don’t. Pretty sure I received a black coffee with whip cream on top ‍♀️ Then after a runner delivered the food, our server seemed to disappear and by disappear I mean to the extent that my husband had to get up and go look around for her to inquire on getting our bill. Although the food was good, the vibe and overall experience on this day was not.

There are not as many breakfast places as there used to be, so Dock Mike’s was the closest dine in place to where we stay. And, it’s perfectly fine. It’s a bit loud since it is so busy, young adults and families. Feels like a hometown place AND a place where the hangovers from last night are nursed. The prices are average and the portions plenty. We had a Mike’s combo, pancakes, eggs, breakfast meat. The pork roll was thick, the eggs cooked perfectly to order, and I added blueberries to the pancakes but was disappointed they weren’t as fluffy as I’d hoped. My daughter had the apple pancakes, which were fluffier pancakes but topped with something like apple pie filling, none IN the pancakes. The sausage links were good. The latte tasted like an instant mix and the raspberry iced tea was tea with those coffee flavoring syrups…both too sweet. The fresh squeezed orange juice costs extra, but was truly freshly squeezed. It’s a nice enough place, but I’ll try Carmen’s or Marie’s next…a little further from the beach, but on the back bay do nice waterfront vibe. I wouldn’t NOT go back to Mike’s, it was perfectly fine, but would give another local joint a shot.

This was a great place to check out! The atmosphere was really great. The pancakes were the best I have ever had. Very fluffy and not heavy. I love how the butter and syrup came on the side in little containers. The mixed berries I had were fresh. The blueberries were cooked in the pancakes and strawberries on top. Sausage was the thick link and very good. Coffee was fresh and the waitress was fantastic with checking if it needed to be topped off.

My boyfriend had a feta and tomato omelet. It was ok. It only came with the toast no hash-brown/ potatoes or meat included.

Overall great experience and will be back .

Great breakfast spot in Cape May. Pretty popular so you might have to wait, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. We started with some coffees, the hot latte was good but the iced pumpkin lattes were too sweet and didn’t have enough espresso to balance the sweetness. We shared an order of pumpkin pancakes as an app, which were quite yummy. For my main, I had the curry omelet which was absolutely delicious if you are a curry fan. Would definitely recommend. Service was great.

Stumbled upon here on a trip to Cape May and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of pancakes !

The omelettes were decent but the pancakes and the whipped butter were delicious.

One should try their orange whipped butter served with their orange cranberry pancake . My first time tasting this and I was blown away.

The regular buttermilk pancakes were delicious too.

Opt for the extra priced maple syrup to enhance the experience.

Cash Only was the only bummer but it’s ok !

Cheers !

Been going here for breakfast for years whenever I’m in Cape May. Usually it does not take long to be seated. The service is good and the food is average to above average for Cape May. Compared to other breakfast spots in the area, I would recommend getting breakfast here out of most of the other locations. Good portions, cooked well and overall a decent breakfast spot.

A wonderful breakfast experience!
We were lucky to have Shelly as our server—she was incredibly attentive, and her smile was contagious.

Our table tried the piña colada pancakes (perfectly sweet and tropical), the green eggs (a feel-good breakfast packed with bright, fresh flavors), and the huevos rancheros (delicious with just the right amount of spice). Our daughter loved the puppy pancakes and the green smoothie—she devoured both!

The menu has a fantastic selection, and we can’t wait to come back and try more.

Note: It’s cash only, but don’t let that stop you—it’s absolutely worth the trip! They also have the option to use Venmo.

This place is a gem! I truly loved it. I didn’t go inside, because the outside patio was just so nice! But I’m sure its just as nice of a place inside too. I saw a lot of bad reviews on this place and wanted to try it for myself. I’m glad I did those other reviews were extremely picky and in my opinion undeserving! The food was amazingly delicious and presented beautifully! I had fresh squeezed orange juice which you could definitely taste the difference! And a caramel latte that was surprisingly better then a Starbucks or just other coffee shop. The food felt fresh and organic and the taste was spot on me and my fiance had such a a good meal we are telling our family for their coming up trip, and will definitely be coming back at least yearly on our vacations. Now if you only dine at the finest of establishments and require porcelain and crystal this is not your place. Besides that it’s homey and the quality of food is well worth the price. This is Cape May so enjoy yourself and stop by the next time you want a great breakfast or lunch!

Went to get breakfast. Waitress was slow, but brought everything. Coffee was awful. My husbands sandwich was decent. Orange juice was good. However $5.25 for adding chocolate chips to a waffle????? You can buy a 12 oz bag for $3.49!!! That’s absolutely ridiculous. And when I questioned it the man I assume was the manager didn’t say a word. Sorry that’s Absolutely ridiculous and highway robbery. 0 stars if I could. Will not be back.

The food type here is definitely comfort style american food. There are no alcoholic drinks served here. There was an outside seating area which was really nice. The plants are decorated throughout the exterior. I would do away with all of the extra signs and scary fake chef statue in the front. I would definitely recommend and return. The eggs benedict had a nice thick slice of canadian bacon with a yummy hollandaise sauce. The cappuccino was okay, the icy espresso drink was expensive, but my family said they liked it.
