Dock Local in Dallas did not disappoint. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious…rich, creamy, & full of flavor. The Lobster Grilled Cheese sandwich was incredibly satisfying & overflowing with lobster in every bite.
The chips that came with the soup & sandwich were surprisingly good. I’m usually not a fan of chips as a side, but these were different & the dip they came with was perfect.
The Fish & Chips were just okay.

Solid spot overall. The flavors are definitely there and they don’t hold back on the meat. Only complaints – Our queso came out cold and the lobster was slightly rubbery, however, the pickles with the lobster were chef’s kiss. Super refreshing and honestly made the sandwich for me. The garlic fries were really good as well. Worth trying, just a few tweaks away from being great.

I liked the service. Very quick. Lobster roll was fresh. What I disliked was the flavor. Don’t get me wrong it did not taste bad, but the flavored lacked. It is my first time trying lobster, and maybe my taste buds personally don’t enjoy eating lobster.
Fries were gold and crispy. I look forward to trying other items in the near future.

I’m not sure how this is a 4.2 but maybe people are ordering the wrong menu items. The Lobster melt was probably the best lobster sandwich I have ever had. They didn’t skip out on the lobster, large chunks of meat with a creamy flavourful sauces cheesy filling. The fries had a nice kick to it. The only items I didn’t enjoy were the tacos, after eating the Lobster Melt they set the bar high. The tacos couldn’t compare, shrimp wasn’t tender and the fish was tough not flakey.

I paid a fortune for a lobster roll. BUT. It was the best lobster I’ve ever had anywhere, hands down. I would definitely come back for a special occasion.

I’ve visited The Dock 5 times over the last few weeks, each time ordering the Maine Lobster roll. It’s been so good that I had my mom drive over an hour to downtown (yesterday) just go get a roll from here. The rolls are normally very meaty and well balanced. Service was great yesterday, rolls were delicious and we ate every last crumb. I visited again today, taking 2 individuals with me, they’ve wanted to try it since I’ve bragged about the food. Cashier had an attitude and definitely didn’t seem like she was happy to be there, which was picked up on by our entire group. I ordered the Maine roll again….for the 6th time and the portion (for both me and my friend that also ordered a roll) was completely different than what I’ve received previously. It was probably about half of the portion I’ve previously received and not as good, something was different today—really disappointing. I also ordered the lobster bisque for the first time and it had two small little chunks of lobster on it. The flavor was different, to be fair, I’ve never had lobster bisque but there was something unbalanced in there, it made the flavor very overwhelming. Here’s the kicker on top of everything else, I asked for a water cup, just as I did yesterday with zero issue. Today, I’m offered a flimsy paper cone cup….after spending $35 (just this visit). Extremely frustrating, please be consistent with service and food. Consistency drives loyalty!

One of the best lobster rolls i’ve ever had! We actually ended up picking this order up to-go and was pleasantly surprised by not only how it tasted but by how thoughtfully well it was packaged. They’re definitely generous with their portions of lobster. I definitely was surprised to see their other location closed but at least this one is still serving up delicious seafood!

CON: Only one. The shrimp boil with house seasoning was SUPER salty. The “try to fix it at home because this is a waste” kind of salty. But it’s seafood, so you can’t.
