Sometimes we really luck out. We were taking a drive around, no real thought, just headed east I guess from the DC area. We were getting hungry and saw some boats, stopped to take a look and saw the Dock House. We gave a try and were impressed. First, anytime you can have a great lunch on the water in an area you have never been before is a plus. Add on amazing food and service, you are in heaven. My lobster roll reminded me of Maine. My wife’s scallops were very good. Add on some of the best bread pudding I have ever had, you are in heaven! The service was friendly, something we really like when traveling. New to the area we enjoyed the food, service and view of the water. We wish we could be closer.

I had a good experience eating here for the first time. There is a choice to sit inside or out. You can still see the waterfront from inside. I was here on a Sunday afternoon so there wasn’t a wait for a table and it wasn’t too busy. My food was delicious! Real crabmeat and shrimp in my Kent Island sandwich. My waiter, Kendall, was very friendly and was a great guide for some nice options of things to do in the area. I will be returning another time.

Casual, live music until 8pm on a Friday. Had the steak frites asparagus and garlic Parmesan fries. Very tasty. The kids meal was a very healthy serving, we appreciate that! They had some crush flavors I haven’t seen before. All n All, worth a visit.

This place is amazing! I ordered the Cobb salad and it did not disappoint at all! Everything was fresh, the bacon was crispy! No limpy, half cooked, pink bacon bits. You get the real thing here. Cooked like you do at home. My waitress was very attentive and friendly and and restaurant was clean and welcoming. Loved my experience. I highly recommend the Dock House. It’s worth the drive from Washington DC!

Avoided this place for about a year due to inconsistent food. Decided to go back and try it today. The oyster stew broth had a bland flavor, the first oyster I ate tasted super fishy like they had sat out and spoiled. Tried the crab bisque my wife ordered and it was decent but sent out lukewarm. Ordered the halibut, it and the crab imperial had no flavor. Won’t be coming back again, save yourself the trouble.

We recently visited the Dockhouse and both enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The Dockhouse burger was a delicious beast of a burger. Burger is a 3 cut blend topped with legit bacon, cooper sharp, pickles and unique sauce and is massive. The halibut tacos were also a winner. Generous fish, slaw and remoulade. Sweet potato tots are a must and a generous portion. Local brews on tap. Great view on the water. Our server Bobby was cool and gave us some tips on local fare. Def worth a visit!

I came across this restaurant while searching for a restaurant for lunch that served great crabcakes. Our waitress Ashley was very personable and efficient. Our food was delicious as was dessert, we even met Ms. Beverly, the lady responsible for the amazing bread pudding dessert. We ate inside as it was overcast outdoors but I imagine on a good weather day, the outside ambiance would add even more to the experience. Highly recommend.

Had a delightful experience at Dock House. Started off with the dynamite shrimp as an appetizer and it didn’t disappoint! The crab cake that followed was absolutely delicious. The views from the dock are stunning, complemented by a variety of great drinks, including many variations of orange crush. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience worth repeating. I will definitely be returning in the future!
