Dock & Claw is such an exciting place. The food is so flavorful and they always have different, delicious specials every weekend. The atmosphere is lively with bar stools at the heart of the restaurant and seats on the sides and outside for more intimacy. The staff are truly happy to be there and provide quality service even when the place is bustling and there is a long line of people waiting to get in the door. Definitely give this spot a try. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is really rad! The staff is super awesome and fun. The food is amazing and served in great portions. The entire atmosphere including the bathroom is just meant to make you smile. They even do a Polaroid of you to put up in the bar (if you choose). I will definitely make this a must go to when I’m in LBI.

My wife took me to Dock & Claw as a surprise for my birthday and wow what a treat it was. The ambiance is cool and very lively. Everyone was having a great time and how could they not with the delicious food they serve. We tried a few different types oysters which were fresh and delicious. They have amazing duck wings which I have Ben wanting for a while. We also ordered the miso cabbage which was surprisingly really good. Kudos to the chef! What an extraordinary little restaurant. As you approach, you can’t help but wonder what the heck you have gotten yourself into. The building is kitchy as heck, the menu is a little short and abrupt, the dining space is tiny… but the staff are fantastically friendly, and the food is craveably good and fairly priced.
I have a big appetite, and an appetizer and salad filled me up entirely! And what delicious appetizers they were. The Korean spicy duck wings are craveable, full of umami and gochujang… absolutely awesome and delectable crispy… I would go back now for an order. The swordfish skewers are the size of a dinner order of swordfish well seared and covered in an awesome chimichurri sauce. The actual raw bar items are delectable (even the cocktail shrimp are great!). Their designated shucker is hard working and he does a great job. Deserves every penny of “shucker’s tips ” which go in a separate container. The soybean soy salad was fantastic. The green goddess salad was admittedly a miss; mildly bland and difficult to mix the dressing on. The steamers are great! Overall an amazing experience. We went twice in 3 days. Remember it’s BYOB. Their home-made hot sauce (for sale by the bottle) is both delightfully light and flavorful!

This place is amazing. First off let me break down the atmosphere. It has a fish shack vibe with a modern oyster bar feeling as well, merging both worlds for a collab any vibe seeker will enjoy. Now the service. The service was spectacular we got the oysters within 3 minutes of ordering and our food within five perfect for an impatient person like me. Now that leaves the food. We had the burger which is a spectacular blend of great meat and a bun from Staten island and homemade pickles and one more surprise but you will have to come to see. If you go you know about the sauce. Edit: I love the bathroom it is perfect and even has sound and gold octopus GOLDEN FROGS TOO yet another reason you should go here they even gave me a free hat they are amazing here

I’m kind of conflicted writing a review for Dock & Claw. On one hand I want to support a local business who is doing EXACTLY what I want to see small local places doing – putting together a creative, well thought out and perfectly executed menu. On the other hand this is a small joint, and I want to make sure I can get a spot at the bar to enjoy what is a truly great atmosphere, one that has the feel of a bunch of friends around a bar enjoying good food, drinks, and company. Despite my hesitation Dock & Claw knocks it out of the park, so have to spread the good word.
We’ve had 2 meals there and both were exceptional. In the first round we shared duck wings, fish tacos, chorizo tostadas, calamari, and a few local oysters. Everything was great and kids were happy to pick and share all the different plates – great food and kid friendly is absolute win for us. The second round we had the lobster roll, tuna poke and an oyster flight. Again everything was superb, and I’m positive there isn’t a better lobster roll on the island (probably not in the state). All alongside a bottle of wine made for a perfect anniversary lunch/dinner.
Definitely make this place a stop, great people doing great food. Just make sure to save me that spot at the bar.

What a great place for food, fun and music! The chef’s tuna was the best preparation I have ever tasted! Seafood is always fresh, although the local oysters were too large for half-shell consumption for me. Mussels in white wine were perfect! The 3 sided cozy counter is a great place to sit, eat and chat. We even had the opportunity to have a game of giant jenga!
