My husband and I sat at the bar on a Sunday evening and were greeted immediately. The bartender was friendly and efficient.
We both ordered the watermelon dulces margaritas.
Food – we orders the queso flamesdo to start. It can out hot and delicious.
For entrees we ordered chicken enchiladas. One carnitas taco. One carne asada taco.
Enchiladas were dry and unflavorful.
Tacos were delicious.
The margaritas were good but definitely not worth the price.

This place appears to be set up as the flagship of this budding chain. The waitress told us that it is by far the largest of the three and is the only one with a full bar and real seating area. There is also outdoor seating. We came for lunch and on a weekend and were kind of surprised that it was relatively empty. Maybe people have not discovered it yet?

Their focus is clearly on tacos, so that’s what we ordered. You order them individually with some customization options and you can, of course, order more than one. We opted for two different ones for two of us, the chef plate (which had two different ones for a third member) and a rice bowl for our fourth member. Pretty much everything is ala carte, including the chips and salsa – they do not just plop them down when you get there. So, we ordered their Flameado Queso.

The staff was very nice in explaining things to us and we watched them hustle to bring food and drinks to the other tables. Our food came out pretty quickly as did our drinks. The queso was decent. There was an oily sheen on it which we determined came from the chorizo. Those chunks also made us wish for a serving spoon as the tortilla chips broke frequently.

The tacos were all decent. They were clearly different from each other and care was taken in the selection of sauces and spices, but we felt they were somewhat lacking in zing. It was nothing really bad, it was just that they were missing that final ingredient of something that would make the stand out.

We concluded that this would be a decent lunch place, but not a dinner place. For dinner, we would want a much broader menu, and are also concerned that the warehouse style construction and layout of the tables would make the place extremely loud – which we definitely do NOT like.

I love this place but not this location. I’ve gone to all their other locations and the food I got here this past weekend wasn’t of the same quality. I got my food to go and it was swimming in grease. The street corn wasn’t cooked long enough nor dressed the same as they do at thee other locations.

Overall, I think this is a great addition to the plaza and I will be back. The food was good and priced fairly. I just hope next time I get better service. Eating at the bar with an empty drink for 7 minutes. That’s a long time when there were only 4 other people at the bar. I’m guessing the bartended that was working that day must not have much experience.

I don’t particularly care for how noisy the restaurant is, but that’s the type of ambience they’re going for. It’s just not my cup of tea. I can eat outside on the patio if I don’t want as much noise.

The food, however, was fantastic. I got the pollo con chorizo, which was bursting with fresh flavor. My boyfriend got some tacos, which he described as “amazing.”

We’ll definitely be back.

Surprised at the mix bag of reviews on here (including recycled pictures in multiple reviews)? I’ve eaten here twice. Takeout once, and catering on New Years Eve. The take out was good which prompted us to order catering for NYE. Let me say first, the staff carried everything to my car which was nice (we ordered for 24 people). Everything was delicious! The queso, the guac, the meats/cheeses, everyone love and ate everything. I’m sure resteraunts can be hit or miss, but they are 2-0 for me.

My wife and I visited for the first time today. Our food was great. It had lots of flavor. I expected it to be your typical Mexican fare food. I am pleased to say it was so much better than that. The food had many wonderful flavors that just made you crave the next bite. We will definitely come back the next time we are out of the home looking for a delicious meal. I had the Polo con chorizo and my wife had the Torta Barbaco. Her quote was that it was “super delicious”.

Awesome little place. Visited on cinco de mayo. Great service the entire visit. The tacos were fantastic. Unique flavors mixed with traditional meats. Shrimp tacos with coleslaw and a touch of BBQ sauce.

ordered a pescado taco which is supposed to include “Seasonally selected fish, fried. Lime slaw, pico de gallo, Doce sauce, & cilantro”. received a single fish stick wrapped in a tortilla with raw onion thrown on it

i’ll go back and show them and see how they handle the situation, and i’ll change my rating accordingly, but i was just very disappointed as i had been waiting for MONTHS for this place to open and waited for half an hour for my order. it did just open so they deserve grace for that, but man looking at the taco actually made me sad

We love the one down in Southside so we were super excited to finally give this location a try!
The tacos are a little different than the ones we’ve come to know, BUT they were still great in their own ways! We also really enjoyed the nachos as an appetizer and of course we had to get a churro to finish!
